I see what you mean...But this system sure did paint the Republican Party in California into a corner this time...
In circling the wagons to somewhat ensure no shinanigans could be played inside the party, all the liberals had to do was pander and have everyone show up...numbers meaning nothing of course to them, yet incredibly important to the Republican party that shot itself in the foot this time apparently...
This was not a case of the party shooting itself in the foot. This is vote fraud, plain and simple.
In a Primary, you want party people making the decisions, not independents, or (as happens in CA), illegals trying to skew results.
Someone called into the Rick Roberts show today and says he figured out haw this could have been done via the internet. He has reported it and actually demonstrated it. Supposedly it will be investigated.
It appears that there are websites that allow you to change your party affiliation by entering your name and phone number (which must be correct). You then get to print a PDF form which you continue to fill out by hand and send in. The remaining information on the form can be made up. And although the registrars office is suppode to chack all the info, as well as the signitures, the likelyhood they actually do, is minimal.
However it happened, there is fraud going on here. And in all likelyhood, the voter roll information has been compromised. People working in the registrars offices may have done this.
Democrats may even have done this to prevent Republican from crossing over to try and pick their candidate. Who knows.
