The rules weren't changed. Some people were told that even though they "knew" they were registered rep, that they were indeed non-partisan. The proper thing for the poll worker is to inform that, that if they thought there was a mistake, they could provisionally vote as a rep until the registrar's office could see if there was an error. Instead, some workers did not do that. In out place, it took me about an hour to convince the supervisor to do it that way.

I don't think the SD registrar';s office is controlled by rep or dems for that matter. That's why I asked people earlier how this deed was done in concert and whether it would give McCain and advantage. Then people argued that it was the dems trying to sway rep to come over.

And if there were a conspiracy to disenfranchise voters, how would the guilty people even know who to block and who to let through???
