There's nothing wrong with Splenda.

That's what people used to say about aspartame, when comparing it to saccharine. If there's nothing wrong with Splenda, how come I and many others suffer severe intestinal distress is we eat it?

I had some Splenda in my cupboard, and an ant crawled in there and ate some...and died. I thought maybe it just got stuck in the box, but then I remembered that it was an ant, and they can go anywhere. I thought maybe it just sat there eating something "sweet" until it died, but then I remembered that those single ants usually taste something and then bring it back to the colony. I've never found dead ants in my cupboards before. Only in that box of Splenda.

Chemical formula - Common name

C12H22O11 - Sugar

NaCl - Salt

C12H19Cl3O8 - Sucralose

Show me why you think Sucralose can be harmful?

You might also keep in mind that:

Gastric acid consists mainly of hydrochloric acid (HCl) (around 0.5%, or 5000 parts per million), and large quantities of potassium chloride (KCl) and sodium chloride (NaCl).
