Sorry guys, I can't vote for Fred now. I'm too upset with MCCain. I just can't get myself to vote in a manner that might have the very slight possibility of helping McCain.

BUT I FEEL I NOW HAVE TO VOTE FOR MITT.

I'M NOW A FREDHEAD FOR MITT.

(flame me all you want - that's just where I stand now, and I'm admitting it.)

No flame from me. We all do what we feel is right. I'm in Wisconsin so my vote won't count anyway. latest polls. I'll vote for Fred!

I agree with you. I think our country's future is more important than someone's stubborn adherence to their favorite conservative at this point.

While our country's future hangs in the balance, someone's self-inflated principles are not the #1 priority necessarily. It's not all about them.

It seems conservatives may have missed the last clear chance to avert this disaster.

Had Mitt already dropped out and Fred or Duncan had a chance to win and was the last thing standing in the way of a disastrous McCain nomination, I would have voted for Fred or Duncan. But that's just me.

Anyway, I hope those lofty principles will be comforting when, among other things, we are paying higher taxes, we are hit with cap and trade programs, our tax dollars are funding the destruction of embryos, the terrorists are brought to the US and given constitutional rights and ACLU lawyers, our 1stA rights are infringed further, the 20 million illegals are given legal status overnight and the very next day register as democrats (and that's just if McCain, by some miracle, wins - you can add a whole bunch of other bad things when he doesn't).

Without all these rampant principles gone wild, Mitt could haven won CA and changed the course of this election for the better. Link below shows all the conservatives on the ballot in CA splitting the vote in San Diego county.... all those principles opened the door just enough for a McCain victory (Duncan Hunter made a good showing in his own county -- even beat Fred this time. So?).

John McCain (Rep) 100,359 40.1 %
Mitt Romney (Rep) 95,650 38.3 %

No flames here either, please. I know some of you will never see it that way....

I did it yesterday and am not ashamed. It hurt to see Fred’s name there on the ballot, but I had to try to fight McCain in the case that Romney may have needed every vote he got.

Go out and vote for Romney. Fred understands.

With all the bad choices this year, I have no problem with what you are doing. Just please don’t be a cheerleader for Mitt and I can take it. Don’t call him a conservative but less of a problem than McCain I can take. Everyone has difficult choices to make this year.
