And you are terribly sweet in saying so! Hope little Chachi is doing good. I have tried to read everything you write about him. Maybe the roughest part is over. Hope he will be able to walk pretty good, too! Bless his heart!

Hope little Chachi is doing good.

He is doing great! We are so blessed and thankful that his recovery is going so well. The only hard part is keeping him quiet. His surgeon doesn't want him jumping or running until about the middle of April. Chachi has other ideas, however. He thinks he is feeling 100%, even if his back legs are still not working real well.

One big problem we have right now is with a little kitten that is hanging around our yard. He wants so badly to play with Chachi. However, Chachi wants to kill kitty (or acts like he does - but I don't think he would actually hurt him), so keeping them separated is very difficult. The last thing Chachi needs is to have his eyes clawed on top of his back surgery. Besides, wrestling around with a kitten would definitely not go over well with Chachi's surgeon.

Other than that, things are going very well. Here is a photo I snapped a few minutes ago. His fur on his back is starting to grow back nicely too. :-)

It looks like he is in a cage, but he actually has the run of the family room. Still, he won't be truly happy until he has the run of the house again. LOL
