The ONLY scenario that I see is the reason McScampaign strongarmed the GOP is he has some kickass VP planned that could carry the GOP forward.

He gets to be Prez for four years and then die, while guaranteeing a Republican WH for another eight years after he kicks.

Only problem, if this was the case the GOP would be smart enough to leak it, which they haven’t.

Sure.

I’ve been thinking the same things since we first started getting exit polls.

IMHO, the only thing worse than a McCain ticket is a McCain/Huckabee ticket.

But I’ll probably end up voting for it.

Huckster is probably thinking that, but he’s gonna be in for a rude awakening.

Agreed. It will be McCain and Huckabee on the ticket.

That would be a very shaky bet. Huckabee and McCain aren’t in collusion — Huck really thinks he’s got a shot.

with that being said, what does the senate and house look like in this upcoming election?

Particularly the senate.

If Romney is serious about stopping McCain he should endorse Huckabee and turn his delegates over as well. It’s time to step up and support Huckabee if we are serious about stopping McCain.

This is a two person race, and Romney (with all due respect) is not in it.

I’m a vet. I’m an evangelical. I would vote for that ticket when the 18th Airborne has to parachute into Hell with bags of rock salt.

I agree on the 3rd party if this scenario plays out. If the R’s deliver an excrement sandwich, I ain’t biting!

I think he picks a governor like Haley Barbour.

He is appealing to conservatives and he has the "executive experience" that McCain supposedly lacks.

Possibility???
I thought it was obvious: the Huckster has been running for Veep, not President, on the assumption that McLame will do as he says and serve one term only.

Regarding Huckleberry’s base of support: I wish there were a way to get these people to send their kids to school, so at least there’d be hope for the next generation...

Huck then becomes VP nominee thus giving the McCain ticket an inroad to pro life people and evangelicals.

I’ve never seen a better year for a third party — but not with Romney on it.

The man can’t buy a vote. All that money, all these months campaigning, the good looks, the groomed demeanor and articulate speaker — and he comes in behind Huckabee.

After tonight, isn’t it time for all of us to admit that he just is not a winner?

You may be correct, but they will have alienated so many of the base that they will lose big time in the general.

That is almost certainly true.

It looks like Hillary will be the eventual winner of the Democratic nomination.

Hillary will beat McCain like a rug.

This will be the most lopsided presidential race in memory. I suspect that Hillary may exceed the Roosevelt Victory in 1936.

It could be a 61 to 39 victory for Hillary.

McCain can get moderate votes in the primary, but they will not vote for him in the fall.

HIllary will drive up his negatives beyond belief. This will be the reverse of 1980.. 55 Hillary to 45 McCain.

Hillary will likely carry 32 states including Ohio. .

More likely is that The Huck brings Romney into the fold, with The Huck as the man and Romney as the assistant.

McCain applauds their cooperation.
