And we’re the whiners if we don’t want to support that backstabbing SOB?

Hubby and I were just having this conversation. I refuse to allow other people to say I shouldn't "sulk" or I'm "deranged" because I refuse to vote for McCain.

I believe I have good reasons to not vote for that man, and I am not going to "settle", the way I have in previous elections.

Now, if I tell people that I have good reasons not to vote for Hillary (not ever!), then everyone here would be supportive of my "standing up for my principles". Well, same principles make me refuse to vote for McCain. I don't care what he may say on the campaign trail, I cannot believe him. I have watched him in action too long to buy any kind of politically expedient platitudes that may come out of his mouth. He hates conservatives and conservatism. He wants open borders, he has succeeded in restriciting our first amendment rights of political speech. He has drunk deep the "global warming/climate change" koolaid and has devised a plan to regulate and tax us in order to please the eco-nazis. I could go on and on. I will not vote for this man, I cannot. I will not vote for HRC or Obama because, well Hillary should be self-explanatory; Obama --- seems like a nice guy, but what exactly is his platform? Does he ever actually say anything, or does he just speak in a very convincing way, saying nothing?

Anyway, I am a resident of Washington state, so I will vote to (re)elect Dino Rossi. I will probably write in someone in the Presidential race.

I have always said that I would never vote for John. That started years ago even before he announced. Something about him really scares me. He should not be anywhere near the White House. With that temper of his, there is no telling what he would/could do.

Ditto all the way across.

Well Said....

I look at it as: Okay, no doubt that Hillary or Obama will be worse than McCain.....but exactly what is 4 years of Hillary worth? Would it be worth 4 years of McCain to vanquish Hillary? Maybe. But then, I cant just vote for 4 years of McCain, can I?

If he wins, I get no choice in 4 years, I have to vote for him again, for the Dhemmroids will CERTAINLY nominate someone worse than McCain again, because they are all worse. So then, I have to ask is 8 potential years of McCain worse than 4 of Hillary? Again I might say yes. But then what after that?

It looks more and more like the Huckster is going to be the VP....or maybe Lindsey Graham, he is paid his dues to McCain, kissing up all of these years, being Maverick Jr. So if one of these guys is VP for McCain for 8 years, he would almost certainly get the nomination, and we would get more of the same. So is 12 years of McCain/Whoever worth no Hillary? If you say yes, remember that then after 12 years, then you have to vote for whoever again....so now we are up to 16 years WITH NO CHANCE AT A REAL CONSERVATIVE!

I am sure most of you have read Orwell’s “Animal Farm”. Remember the device the pigs used to keep the other animals in line? If you dont make this concession, or that sacrifice, then Mr. Jones will come back, and you SURELY dont want Jones back, do you?

Sounds a lot like Vote for McCain, or you will end up with HillaryCare...doesnt it?
