I will cheerfully call myself an agnostic. I like to think of it this way....many paths, one destination.
I, quite truthfully, fell deeply sorry for those fundies and people who can't see outside their own little box. I wonder what they are afraid of sometimes. {shrug} Usually, I'm all for "to each their own" but this religious bigotry is UnAmerican to the core.
I call myself "Christian" but I'm a universalist and a believer in the literal spirit and philosophy of Christ rather than what is reported as His literal word. And I certainly believe that it takes a leap of logic and suspension of scientific fact to adhere to a notion that the entire universe was created in only six 24-hour periods, or that an angel named "Moroni" handed over a record of Jesus in America to a fraud like Joseph Smith. But, to me anyway, there is the clear hand of God on the United States. So I don't suppose that he minds all that much some of us believing in fairy tales; we are after all his "children">
