Sounds like evangelicals have big plans? Quick question. How did Bush work out? He passed your requirements with flying colors but ended up destroying the GOP with his excessive spending and compassionate conservatism? Look I admire evangelicals and consider them allies in this battle against the forces of mindless secularism but some of you need to stop looking at things from only specific vantage point.
How did Bush work out? Very well. Bush is a great president -- something that alot of people on FR have forgotten. He defeated Saddam Hussein, cut taxes, appointed two conservatives to the Supreme Court and has increased the size of our armed forces to Reagan-era levels. Whats not to like about Bush?

has increased the size of our armed forces to Reagan-era levelsAre you nuts?
US Amy 1986 18 divisions, 2007 10 divisions
US Navy 1986 594 ships, 2007 278 ships.
Bush's approach to force structure has been a disgrace.

Clinton would have gotten rid of our military totally if he could have- he cut it quite a bit. He made our country vulnerable and prime ready for the 9/11 attack.
