Good synopsis. McCain won’t know what hit him once he gets the nomination. The DNC machine and the media will come at him — on age, among other things — like junkyard dogs. We’re toast. President Obama.

You know what’s wrong with the Religious Right? Leadership.
Think about it. When did this crackup start happening? Right after Jerry Falwell and James Kennedy died. They were strong, honest religious leaders. Not only were they religious, they were also very strong conservatives as well. They got the big picture.
Now we’re left with Robertson (who’s hit and miss) and Dobson, who’s proven himself this election cycle to be a pompous fool.

Btw, Cindys father owned the 2nd largest Budweiser distributorship in the country. No wonder McVain wanted to suck up to Kerry. They have a lot in common.

I just hope that if McCain asks Fred he does not take it. That would be depressing.

Further. McCain is not Reagan. Reagan chose his rival, maybe even a bitter rival, in Geo. H.W. Bush. Thereby uniting a pretty much divided Party, amongst the leadership maybe not so much the people.
McCain is no Reagan (despite his statements from his own mind) ... he doesn't have it in him. He will 'demand' a united party and if he loses it will be the Party's fault.

Wouldn’t it be something if Huckabee

his ego decides to just run for himself

Romney is running 3rd in Georgia.
Don’t listen to Hewitt!
I did in 2006. He was so optimistic and happy, just knew the dems wouldn’t take over the House, etc.
He was all wrong.

But McCain has not. The key is understanding McCain’s mind and what he’ll accept over what others say. I’ll say it again ... if he is in the General and loses ... it will be the Party’s fault, not his. According to McCain.
