A Vote for Huckabee Is a Vote for McCain (McCain and Huckabee Collude in WV To Beat Romney)

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: They're projecting that Huckabee has come from nowhere to win in West Virginia.  Now, originally get 50% there, and Ron Paul was out after the first vote, and it was Romney, Huckabee, and I think Romney had 30%, Huckabee at 16, and McCain -- so obviously -- well, I can't say obviously, I don't know, but it seems like the Huck forces got together with the McCain forces, and the McCain forces sent his forces to the Huck forces, and that's how they defeated Romney in West Virginia.  I don't know that, but I wouldn't be surprised.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: We know a little bit more here about what happened in West Virginia -- and, folks, it underscores what many of us have been saying about collusion between the Huck forces and McCain forces.  After the first round of balloting in the West Virginia caucus, nobody got 50%, but Romney led with 41%.  Paul was out of it.  So it was Romney, it was Huckabee, and then McCain, in that order.  What has happened is that McCain forces have joined Huck forces, and that's how Huckabee has won West Virginia.  Now, McCain and Huck forces are denying that there was collusion.  But who cares? It doesn't matter what they say.  The fact -- what this proves -- is that a vote for Huck is a vote for McCain.  Because the Huck forces, whether by request from McCain forces or whether on their own, McCain forces decided to throw in with Huck forces en masse. So the combination of McCain forces and Huck forces overwhelm Romney, who had 41%.  So a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain.

Now, folks, it's Super Tuesday.  Now, folks, look. It's about 2:34 Eastern Time, on Tuesday afternoon, Super Tuesday.  If anybody thinks that I'm trying to influence votes today, you have another thing coming.  That's not the purpose, here. I know everybody in the Drive-Bys thinks so.  I'm telling you what I believe. It's what I have done each and every day behind this Golden EIB Microphone, and what they don't understand is I'm having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have with all this.  I know a lot of my people, friends of mine, are taking this really personally, and they're down in the dumps over it and so forth, but you have to know what you can control and what you can't control, and you certainly can't take the things you can't control personally.  If you reach out and try to take control of too much, it's going to be a disappointment as well.  Then we're back into hope.  I don't want to go back there.

Manipulating Bob Dole and the electoral process in the span of two days. Pretty desperate for someone who is supposed to win big today.

This may backfire for McCain if Huck gets a bump from this and wins Alabama and Tennessee.

As it turned out, votes for McCain turned into votes for Huckabee.

If we want a brokered convention, and I do, we need a three man race.

While Mitt Romney plays victim and cries, is he considering resigning?

Huckabee didn’t “come from nowhere”.
The liberal MSM doesn’t want a baptist preacher as president. They’d rather have a liberal mormon. They’ve been skewing the polls to make it sound like a two man race between Mccain and Romney.

Welcome to a brokered convention. Some posters act like they don’t have a clue about brokering votes.

It’s part of the political world. Obviously Mitt doesn’t have enough experience to understand to process, which is curious since he is so good at hostile takeovers in the business world.

Don’t believe it! If you wan’t McCain to win, you should vote for McCain. This is just an underhanded trick by Romney supporters to fool McCain voters into wasting their votes. Don’t fall for it! Those guys will try anything to win./s

Barnacle

You are very likely right. Rush was all over this as it was happening. Hannity’s been talking to a WV delegate who’s the HORSE’S MOUTH with regards to what happend in that backroom deal bet. Suckabee and McNasty. Michael Savage is all over it too (Savage was a Fredster, and for now is backing Romney). These are two very powerful radio voices. CA voters WILL be affected!

ABSOLUTELY. I think Rush has finally voiced what a lot of us here have thought since the Huckster first injected himself in the race. (By the way, does anyone know WHY he’s no longer a minister?)

My response: A well known four letter word that rhymes with “Huck”, followed by that candidate’s name—his new campaign slogan!

McCrap must be worried. Good.

I remember the days when politics was clean and everybody treated each other like gentleman.

Yea, right. If you can't take the heat, .......

True..

McCain is that kind of person. he would slit your throat and suck the blood out of your jugular vein if it would add two points to his poll numbers.

Remember McCain has his staff float the bit that he would make a great VP for Kerry in 2004. There was poll done showing that Kerry alone would win by 8 points but if he were Kerry's VP, Kerry would win by 14 points. Who do you think paid for that poll? Was it Kerry or McCain? UH HUH.. Just what Kerry needed a Republican VP. That would get out the leftist wote wouldn't it?

McCain then had his poll leaked to the press. Then when they asked him about it he denied he would take the VP slot for Kerry.

Typical McCain. Prove to the left that he is an acceptable leftist. Then prove to the right that he is an acceptable conservative.

And what would McCain do if he were elected? What ever the media told him to do!!! That is what!!!!

And a brokered national convention will result in the establishment candidate winning (and that isn’t Huck). Huck is everything the party bosses hate and they will make sure he doesn’t win.

As it turned out, votes for McCain turned into votes for Huckabee.

And, from what I understand, votes for Paul turned into votes for Huckabee as McCainiac's and Huckabee's combined total couldn't quite take Mitt out, so Huckabee sold off 3 delegates out of the 18 to gain additional support from Paul delegates to push it over 50%.
