“Same old story. Like the tobacco settlement, just another billion dollar extortion racket for the trial lawyers.”

uh-huh. I recently had a conversation with a guy who compares the oil and energy producing companies to the tobacco companies. You see - we are all *addicted* to oil, (like we are addicted to food, water, and air)
-And BIG oil is supposedly LYING about global warming climate change.
-Hence the comparison.

Yes...and since they are responsible for OUR addiction,, and they are “lying about global warming Climate change, just like the BIG tobacco companies...they must now pay for their lies!!!
-and it will be the trial lawyers who will profit, along with AlGore types who are now heavily invested in carbon credit/trading schemes.

-Never mind that the oil and energy industry has done more then ANY other industry, to improve the quality and standards of life for billions of people.

"Twenty of the top 100 highest-grossing U.S. law firms are billing as much as $700 dollars per hour for climate change work that ranges from lobbying Congress..."

There *has* to be a name of these "lobbyist", somewhere.
Expose the lice to the light of day, plan an attack from there.

"...to helping clients finance clean-energy projects, according to Bloomberg."

Yea, again.

...who's the *client(s)*?

Whether or not the oil and gas industries have improved the quality of lives of millions of people, that doesn’t justify paying for propagandistic science skewing to mislead people about the importance of climate change.
