before Huckabees surprising turnaround in the second round, McCain delegates told FOX News they had been instructed by the campaign to throw their support to Huckabee.
McCain delegate John Vuolo said former Louisiana Gov. Buddy Roemer approached him and other McCain supporters at the convention and told them he had spoken to McCain, and that the best thing to do was to support Huckabee in the hope that Huckabee could beat Romney in this winner-take-all state.
That account could add fuel to Romneys claim that Huckabee is only undercutting his support base, and that a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain. Huckabee has fiercely denied that claim.
Romney Campaign Manager Beth Myers issued a statement after the West Virginia vote blasting McCain.
Unfortunately, this is what Senator McCains inside Washington ways look like: he cut a backroom deal with the tax-and-spend candidate he thought could best stop Governor Romneys campaign of conservative change.

Huckabee campaign was broke a few days ago,where is he getting his money to stay in the race?
After Florida it all seemed so boringly predictable. The media have determined that McCain will be the candidate, which means that Hillary will be president. You can see it all unfolding like a canned movie script.
It’s now official, the Candidate from Deliverance is nothing more than McCain’s stalking horse.
Real conservatives who are attracted to squirrel eaters Christian fundamentals need to understand that if they stay loyal to Huckabee they’re hurting themselves in the long run because neither McCain, Hillary or Obama will do anything positive towards them.
What is wrong with the republicans of West Virginia? Do they have no national consciousness whatsoever?

I kind of hope Huckabee does get the nomination so I can laugh my butt off when he gets slaughtered in the general election.
