I'm just going to repeat what I said at another post, which is a suggestion that if anyone very active is going to be there, it might be fun to print out some positive stories of Marines from these listed sites to hand out. Since you are passing them out you could do the same ones over and over but still have some variety.

American Forces Press Service News Articles (Good for Iraq success stories!)

DOD Heroes

Medal of Honor Society

And there's other websites with Marine stories. Now, if you want to pass out information about Code Pink check this out: The DiscoverTheNetworks.org report on Code Pink has tons of articles and a summery.

I suggest this PDF file called Code Pink, download it a stick drive and take it to a print shop, tell them to give you x number of two-sided, color copies, already stapled.

Hand those out and watch the sparks fly!

Here is what I plan to print and hand out....

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

John Stuart Mill

... if anyone very active is going to be there

No if about it Wayne, there will be hundreds, possibly thousands of very active Patriotic Troop/Marine supporters there being involved in various activities.

Some are going to arrive at 5:00 AM and during breaks your suggestion is a good idea.

Being as there are thousands of supporters of the Rally For The Troops and protest of the City Council who won't be able to come in person, they could print of some of the items you suggest and go on the Internet and get the names of many Berkeley businesses and mail them out to them.

As it is close to the time of the event, they would have to now be mailed out early Monday morning with overnite service.

Then they would arrive on the very day the businesses see hundreds of Supporters of Troops and America on the streets of Berkeley. Many of us will be very active in other venues during the day and evening, but maybe some who read your suggestion will act on it.

Thanks a lot for all the good input, Wayne it's much appreciated!
