That’s funny - I’ve never heard that before.
Probably apocryphal, but who cares?
We used to have a superior court judge here who was a former Texas Ranger and also a former Industrial League baseball umpire. He always said the latter was the tougher job . . . . he was known as "Judge Two-Gun Charlie" because he presided with two loaded .44 special Bulldogs on the bench, and used one for a gavel. Scary guy if he didn't like you .. .. .
I guess that was before metal detectors in courthouses... ;^)
As you may know, we had an escaped prisoner murder a judge, a court reporter, a deputy and a federal officer here awhile back. Most of the judges I know go armed now, you'd be surprised at the amount of firepower under a lot of benches these days. A few of them have ALWAYS been armed (and love to show you their gun collections!)
Glad to know there are still a few real men left in the judicial system!
Tar and feathers, or on a rail?
Being a he is a chicken, he can supply his own feathers...lol
Berkeley is ruing the day they stepped on the toes of the Marines.
Thanks for the suggestion, ‘Pod
Atlanta has been infiltrated to some extent by wusses, but there are still some good old God-fearing country boys around. Folks you'd want standing beside you if there's REAL trouble . . . .
Berkeley facing BACKLASH - ping!!!
Berkeley facing BACKLASH - ping!!!
Thanks for the ping!
Clearly there are at least some Council Members who are realizing that what they did went beyond the pale. Let us flood that City Council Chambers on Tuesday with hundreds if not thousands of patriots and make them stand there and say to our faces that our troops are "intruders" in America who engage in acts of "barbarity."
I think we know that they won't do that - so we need everyone out there as a show of political force!!
I wish I could be there. Thanks to everyone who can make it. You are true Americans.
Well the Berkeley P.D. definitely were not enforcing the law.
Heads need to roll!

BUMP for DA MAN!!!!!!!!!!!
Berkeley would welcome the military if a disaster hit the city - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1965967/posts
From the thread you linked:
Cool the way they started today's session!LOL! Ted Poe (R-TX) just now started the House of Representatives with a speech condemning Berkley's Mayor and City Council and said that that the Marines were always welcome in Texas ... and that we would provide them with parades, marching bands and lots of flag waving partiots to cheer them on. It was priceless!
Poe/Cheney'08!

Berkeley condemns the Marines, the United Sates of America condemns Berkeley.
From my post #17 above:
Their "retreat" is all the more reason for Troop and America Supporters to show up.Berkeley to rethink its declaration against the Marines
Posted yesterday
They are still liars and need to be brought to account for their un American anti Troop anti Mission stance.
And for not letting cops arrest lawbreaking commies.
They are only doing this to take the heat off, and they have not changed their traitorous ideas about our Military and the USA.
They are trying to make this go away, and we won't let it.
I've been communicating with people all over the state, and there will be Marine and America supporting Patriots coming from all over the state.
Yes. I mentioned the other day that someone needs to find out who has control over the police in Berkeley.
Sometime cities (in my city for one) it is the City Council. If it is or isn't, the Council and the police need to be investigated for their blatant refusal to enforce the law against those that are furthering their liberal anti-troop anti-American agenda.
They are aiding and abetting serious crimes. Some on the federal level.
Unfortunately I will be out of town next Tuesday and cannot attend this event. Does anyone know if the recruiter’s office is open on Saturday? I may want to pay a visit, maybe pick up a brochure or something. Does anyone want to join me??
