My husband, Cyber Liberty, and I were part of that. But even before the recall got started, we were part of the group that protested his McCain/Daschle Summit.
Dittomom was the leader of the petition to recall McCain. There were a few unfortunate things that happened. A person (I can’t remember his name) started the recall, so we only had 90 days and his recall petition. Dittomom went on Hannity and Colmes later on that month and Hannity blasted her. She did not write the recall petition, but it was already out there.
Then his horrible cancer showed its face. Then 9/11. There was no hope for his recall. You have no idea how many folks in AZ wanted his recall. Couldn’t get around to have the petition signed by I can’t remember how many people before that 90-day period elapsed.
Cyber and I were at a biker bar getting petitions signed. Most of the bikers were Vietnam Vets. They hated McCain. Wonder why?
Dittomom can give you the whys and wherefors and numbers. We were out in 110-degree heat in a parking lot getting petitions signed. One of the radio stations here told everyone where to go to sign the petition.
Not asleep.In a coma.
Thanks for the refresher course regarding the petition to remove the senator. It seems that many unfortunate factors were working against its successful completion.
Good luck at CPAC. No way on earth will I vote for McPain next week.
Ron Paul? I heard on the radio it was McCain delegates.
You’re welcome. Keep the Faith. We still are.
There’s a darn good reason why Slip has a good memory for all this - she and her husband were “doing the spade work” for the recall effort. They put in a lot of hours, but it just wasn’t to be. Not much to add to her recollections. Yes, there are plenty of disgruntled Republicans in this state, but WAY too many sheeple with their heads in the desert sand...
Along with good old Sheriff Joe Arpaio, my hubby and I voted for Romney.
Sigh...this night is every bit as depressing as I expected it to be...
I’m in tears, Dittomom. We voted the same way, too. Where else could you go?
May God Bless these here United States.
Thanks for the ping.
I was hoping Arizona would reject McCain tonight. *Sigh* Still, at least I made my voice heard.
We did, too.
Isn’t it odd that most of us did not get to vote for the candidate we wanted? Oh, some are good men (I won’t say woman), but it hurt to vote this year. We are pretty much all in pain.
Headline: "McCain, un republicano rebelde que aboga por regularizar a indocumentados"
(TRANSLATION) "McCain, A Republican Rebel Who Will Stand For The Regularization of The Undocumented"
It goes on to talk about how he opposes the conservative base of the GOP and yet is headed for victory nevertheless.
Wonderful, folks. JUST WONDERFUL.
Looks like my choice has been narrowed down to Mitt. McCain never was a choice.
Ever wonder why Duncan Hunter left the race? Below is a link for a Blog Talk radio show from a couple of weeks ago. Listen and decide for yourself if it has any veracity. One of these ladies was Hunter’s campaign coordinator for Texas so she had a front seat view. Both of these ladies have also worked tirelessly to uncover the truth about our soldiers and Marines who have been charged with crimes - an update follows in the second part of the show.

What does it say? I can’t listen to it at work.
Thank you for posting that.
I wish I would have known before Tuesday.
I would have voted for Hunter instead of Romney, even though Hunter dropped out.
What a rip-off.
I’m a quarter of the way through the audio so far. Very disturbing.
Pretty much it explains in part how the media is manipulating the electoral process and how Fox is guilty of breaking federal election laws. Essentially, Fox excluded Hunter from the debates in Iowa and New Hampshire based on poll numbers. Hunter was excluded from these Real Clear Politics polls based on criteria set by Fox. The NH GOP said this was not fair and Fox essentially said too bad. The NH GOP withdrew their sponsorship of debate. Fox sponsored the debate alone which violates federal election laws since they conducted the event and were not just covering it as a news event. This is a violation of the fair time mandate which requires the media to give equal time to all candidates regardless of how much advertising money is spent by that candidate. Neither Fox nor Real Clear Politics have responded to numerous complaints. Hunter was still a candidate in SC and even though he had to pay a $25,000 fee to be listed on the ballot there, was again excluded from the debates.
They also talk a little about how Hunter asked Romney to go back to Bain Capital Corp, a company Romney started and was CEO for before he was governor, to stop the sale of defense contractor 3Com to the Chinese. If you like conspiracy theories, it was also mentioned how Bain Capital Corp started buying Clear Channel in 2006. The sale has been approved but is awaiting final approval of the Justice Department. Pretty much all the main Conservative Clear Channel talk show hosts (Rush, Hannity, Levin) always had good things to say about Hunter but automatically dismissed him an “unelectable”.

America is in anti-depressant induced apathy.
Pain! We need more pain!
