you have to look at more than numbers. i have no experience with the subject matter, but off hand i'd say one reason your numbers show the trend of mothers being more dangerous than men is because mothers have much more interactions with kids than father do.
think about it. if you have a single mother, the biological dad might spend zero time with the kid while the mother spends almost all the time with the kid. so of course mothers are more likely to kill, as a whole.
but my guess is that if you were able to breakdown the numbers as who kills more as a percentage of the total amount of time spent with kids, males would be MUCH MUCH higher than females proportionally.
