The Paulites are hoping for a brokered convention. So this makes sense to vote for Huckabee since he is third in the delegate count.

then the paulites are illiterate. The only way to have a brokered convention is to have a romney majority without enough delegates to win outright.

Huckabee is just a whore for the vp slot.

Huckabee was less rude to Paul than Romney or McCain have been during the debates. Additionally, Huckabee is more of an outsider than are Romney or McCain, which will appeal to Paul’s delegates. They will go to Huckabee, which would knock McCain out. Then in the third round, the McCain supporters will go to Huckabee, who has been a de facto ally of the Arizona senator. The net effect will be a Huckabee victory in a border state.
