But I was just listening to Glenn Beck saying that Hilary Cinton will be better, that Bill Clinton's election in 1992 was the "best thing" that ever happened to America, that the country will be in such dire straights after four years of Hilary, that a "Churchill" will be needed to sort it out. Many Freepers have consistently stated that Democrats hope for a bad end in Iraq in order to make President Bush and the Republicans look bad. How is the above statement any different? Vote for Hillary and ruin the country??

Democrats only understand total defeat. Their only template is the Vietnam war.
FReepers understand that a single setback can strengthen resolve. Our templates include Pearl Harbor and remembering the Maine.

The point Rush, Coulter, and Beck are making is that Republicans in Congress will FIGHT Hillary and be able to limit the damage. McCain will propose the same things as Hillary, but the Republicans will not fight McCain. McCain essentially creates a liberal supermajority in Congress.
McCain can therefore do MORE damage than Hillary.

(Liberals aren't atheists. They simply worship government.)

Many Freepers have consistently stated that Democrats hope for a bad end in Iraq in order to make President Bush and the Republicans look bad. How is the above statement any different? Vote for Hillary and ruin the country? The difference is that both Hillary/Obama OR McCain will bring about ruination -- it can't be avoided either way. The only question is who's going to face the blame and the backlash -- the liberals, or the "conservatives" which is how the media will portray McCain (just as they do our current socialist president).
