You know AQ....Lord I’m glad you said this.

Because the ibuprofin helps a little bit but you’ll note that I mentioned ice in my question.

Because at times dawn will break over my marble head. I’ve been putting heat on this thing and nothing, nada...more pain.

So I got to thinking...maybe I’m doing the opposite of what I should be doing?

Cause I figure some nice numbing ice would feel real good right about now.

I’m in so much pain...me and advertising guy could have a pain party.

Do you take Aleve? I find it works best for pains like that. It has a mild form of naprosyn in it that others don’t.

I'm so sorry. Back pain is awful. I learned about this when I had some severe upper back pain a few years ago. A strong believer in heating pads, I was practically lying on one 24 hours a day, despite my physical therapist's instructions not too. The pain got worse, and finally my therapist put his face close to mine and said, "STOP USING HEAT. BUY AN ICE PACK." I listened, and the ice brought an immediate reduction in pain.

If your pain is caused by a muscle injury, and ice and ibuprofen alone don't take care of is, you might consider a physical therapy called Rolfing (I know, don't laugh!), named for the M.D. who developed it. I was on my way to being handicapped from years of severe back pain, and that therapy made me all better over a series of weeks. I also had to learn to sit, stand, walk, and lie down correctly, in order to avoid reinjuring my back. Today I'm pain-free. If I ever feel a twinge, I know exactly what to do to heal it.

Hope you guys feel better soon!
