Rush just mentioned high cost of ignorance; = dumbed-down America has resulted in Hillary and Obama as candidates when they have no business being there...THIS is the most serious threat we face: NOT the prospect of a socialist President. This is a secondary symptom. How do we fix the root cause?
One major step would be the end of public schooling. I know that will be nearly impossible to achieve, so I support interim steps like school vouchers--anything to get power out of the govt's hands and into parents', where it belongs. One thing every conservative can do is to pull his/her kids out of public school and enroll them in private school, where it's possible to get a rigorous education devoid of liberal propaganda.
It is by design. An ignorant populace is much easier to control. Replace the teaching of history with “social studies” dominated by cultural indoctrination.
Our own “party” has fallen victim to the dominance of the Mainstream Media. McCain has been thrust down our throats as the only one with a chance to beat Hillary.
Conservatives have been marginalized as “ineffective.”
A McCain nomination is a disaster for conservatives and the Republican Party at a much deeper level than McCain becoming president.
Besides, once McCain wins the nomination, the MSM will turn on him anyway.
We have been played by the MSM and the ignorant sheeple have played right along.
