I can’t believe Dole sent a copy of the letter to Rick Davis.
Dole is playing both sides, he deserves to be criticized.

A PROPOSAL
I believe that each state is different, but I would suggest that all those who want to move the Republican Party to the right, go out and join their local Republican Party. Get involved and then start to make a name for yourself. Soon, we could have many more conservatives at the grassroots of the Party. Then we can start influencing things at the State levels. Then the National levels. We need to start today. Take that energy that bound in frustration right now and redirect it.
A few minutes ago, I contacted a State Rep to ask how to best begin my political journey. I hope for a fast reply.

It all depends on the evangelicals snapping out of it and Voting for Romney instead of Hickleberry.
If Hickleberry was viable I'd say vote for him but he's not. The sign reads "Dead End" ahead. If they don't change directions now we're all going over the cliff!

Bob Dole is trying to have it both ways. He says his "heart is with McCain," and admits to leaking the letter to the media after 3 o'clock. Sorry Bob, I don't buy it.
The big secret is that McCain was in the House in 1986 and voted AGAINST the Reagan bill. Yet 20 years later McCain is putting forth another amnesty far more generous than the Reagan bill.

Rush just took McCain behind the EIB woodshed and administered one of the best butt-whippings I’ve heard in a long time (Dingy Harry got off easy!). McCain will be walking with a ‘hitch’ in his ‘get-along’ for a long while after this one, might even be a permanent injury. McCain keeps kicking the Rush Hornet Nest and squalling when he gets stung, then comes back for more - breathtakingly stupid and unfit to be president.

Dole just reminded us that McCain voted against Bush tax cuts but wants to make them permanent.

Rush just said he hasnt ruled out voting for McCain.
I didn't hear it either but if he did its in the context that A vote for McCain in the presidential is a vote against Clinton..........meaning last resort.

I saw Bob Dole on H&C last night. He admitted that a staffer sent the email to Rush, that he doesn’t do email. He also revealed that he released it to McCain and the media after 3PM yesterday when Rush hadn’t responded. When asked about releasing a private correspondence, Bob looked truly puzzled and asked, “an email private?” or something along those lines. He also said it wasn’t an endorsement of McCain - just a clarification of the man he knew - a report on a colleague when he was Senate leader.
I know Bob Dole. He lived a few miles from me at his home on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. I’ve talked with him many times. I rode the train with Liddy from Tilton to Concord to meet him when he declared his candidacy for President. I worked on his campaign and I still get Christmas cards from he and Elizabeth. He doesn’t like the media fights - he’s a real good man. Had he fought a little harder in the media things may have been different all those years ago, but he’s more likely to turn the other cheek, imho. He likes and respects Rush and vise versa - Rush is making this evident. Don’t trash Dole - his heroism dwarfs McCain’s, his sacrifices for this nation are legend and his intentions were the best, despite his naivety. Rush has been very kind, again, thank you Rush.

We caucas here in Colorado. I wont go, done it before, too many whackos...I lived in California before moving to Colorado. I know there are plenty of whackos in California, but there are also more people. Do you know if there is any study out that shows Colorado's proportion of whackos vs the population? It seems I've run into more whackos here in Colorado. I could be wrong, but I think it has to have something to do with the lack of oxygen...:-)

Yes. He said what Howard Kurtz reported in his
"It's Better To Be Right All The Time column is being misconstrued.
To paraphrase it as best I can, Rush said that while Kurtz quoted him right in saying "If I believe the country will suffer with either Hillary, Obama or McCain, I would just as soon the Democrats take the hit . . . rather than a Republican causing the debacle" everybody is forgetting the "if" and that it's not certain yet whether the country would suffer equally with McCain.

Huckabee uses evangelicals the same way Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton use race.
