We have no way of knowing how he ran his campaign once he got in. We have no access to the raw schedule; all we have is press reports of it. I won’t vote for him today because Romney is the only vote to allow a brokered convention, but consider; Fred had committed to help Paul Harvey, who was ill, and had appeared in all those first-run L&O episodes which could not run if he declared.
I personally think the campaign is obscenely long and would rather see it compressed back to the year before election day.

Agree with you there. It’s ridiculous.

I agree with your comments on the length of the campaign season, and I had no problem with why he entered the race when he did. My problem with his campaign stems from how it was run once he was in. He did well on framing the issues, but did not “campaign” well. Yes, part of the problem stemmed from lack of media attention, but there are ways a candidate can make his own ‘news’ and Fred did none of that. He appeared in debates and did tours. That was it.

I really wanted to see him take hold. But he never did and, frankly, I do find some fault with him on that.
