What I would like to know is what is his ACU rating since 2000? I think McCain was a good conservative up until the South Carolina primary of 2000. Since then he has been on a mission to stick it to conservatives and George Bush. Perhaps a lot of these conservative stalwarts remember the John McCain of pre-2000. Since then has come all of his ridiculous positions such as McCain/Feingold.

You’re right McCain’s taken a leftward turn for awhile now.

For that most recent year in particular, McCain scored only 65, putting him in 47th place for that year. Ben Nelson (D-NE) and Chuck Hagel (R-NE), for example, scored 64 and 75, respectively, in 2006.”
