Gun rights are extremely important to me too, but I wouldn't flush every other right AND the entire economy down the toilet to maintain the Second Amendment.

Besides, given that McCain has visibily demonstrated that he has no concern for the First Amendment, why would anyone think he wouldn't flush the Second, if he found it politically expedient?

I think the best for Reps would be Romney v Hillary. My personal preference is Romney v Obama though. I am just not willing to take ANY chance on a President Clinton even though I think she would be beatable. Either one of the Dems will absolutely stomp McDole IMHO.

Probably cast my only vote this year as I cannot see myself voting for McCain.

Here’s the deal people, right now the MSM (MSNBC, Russert, et al) is salivating at Huckabee’s numbers, saying that McCain may have gotten more than he bargained for. IOW, McCain may have to make a deal of some kind with Huckabee, possibly even VP. THAT would kill the ticket and they are laughing as they realize the possibilities.

GA votes so far are from rural area. No votes from Metro Atlanta have been counted yet. If AP calls this close it probably means massive Romney win in GA.
