I think I’ll take a full dose of Nyquil and fall asleep for 8 hours, trying to forget that I have voted for Romney. I’m angry that I was forced to do that.

Please don't be. You chose to be proactive rather than reactive...and that's usually a better course of action, IMO.

Polls are closed now in New York and New Jersey. No early calls on the Republican side, that’s not good news for McCain who was touting a +20 poll lead in those states. He’ll probably still win, but it may be surprisingly close.

About Huckabee, very soon he will become an obstacle to McCain, if he continues to hold delegates - he may be able to keep Romney from winning, but he’ll keep McCain from winning too. That buys Romney time until the convention to continure to build support in the base.

If Mitt does well enough tonight and in Texas (he’s on the air here starting today!) even if he doesn’t win in delegate count he can “run out the clock” on the primaries, and work the polls from now till the convention. If the current trends hold, the entire establishment will turn on a dime as soon as it looks like McCain may not be able to close the deal.

When you say “paper ballots” does that include ink-a-blot? That’s what we use in Southeast L.A. county.

City Attorney Concerned About L.A. Voter Confusion

Los Angeles City Attorney Rocky Delgadillo Tuesday issued the following statement in the wake of numerous reports of wide-spread nonpartisan voter confusion over Los Angeles County’s “double bubble” voter ballot:

“I have heard numerous reports from voters throughout the City of Los Angeles which point to wide-spread voter confusion over Los Angeles County’s so-called ‘double-bubble’ Decline-to-State non-partisan voter ballot. We understand this ballot is unique to the County of Los Angeles.

“In light of these reports, I am calling upon Secretary of State Debra Bowen and L.A. County Registrar Dean Logan to review the county’s unique and potentially confusing ballot design.

“It would be unfortunate if non-partisan voters, confused by the county’s unique “double bubble” ballot design, did not have their vote counted.

“I urge the Secretary of State and County Registrar to do everything within their power to ensure that every vote is counted, and to carefully weigh voter intent against this confusing Los Angeles County ballot design.

“Los Angeles’ non-partisan voters must not be disenfranchised because of a confusing ballot design.”

All the counties that bought computerized voting machines had to pull them after someone proved they could be hacked.

From wikipedia:
"Consequentialism refers to those moral theories which hold that the consequences of a particular action form the basis for any valid moral judgment about that action...
A consequentialist may argue that lying is wrong because of the negative consequences produced by lying — though a consequentialist may allow that certain foreseeable consequences might make lying acceptable.
A deontologist might argue that lying is always wrong, regardless of any potential "good" that might come from lying.
A virtue ethicist, however, would focus less on lying in any particular instance and instead consider what a decision to tell a lie or not tell a lie said about one's character."

Notable consequentialists include Milton Friedman, Ludwig von Mises, and Friedrich Hayek.

You got it backwards. A typo? I make them also. Romney is the most conservative of the three. The big left winger is McCain who voted against barring terrorists from US. Yep, there is a record of McCain votes and it is scary. Huckabee is a clown and a liberal. He wants to ban smoking across the nation. Both are bigger liars than Horrible Hillary.

Dammit, I think you’re right - I was listening to Levin and he said 7, I’ll have to do a better job of “source checking!”
