I think we all saw this coming a couple years ago. Yes...'compassionate' conservative was our first clue. I wanted to believe otherwise and argued that way for 5 years but I was completely wrong.

I don’t support any of them, ii. I KNOW that they all are liberals.

Ok. Give it another close look. There's a reason 77% of freepers support Romney. We couldn't all be unenlightened.

Those denying THIS War on Terror is necessary do NOT Support the Troops.

Clinton was on the side of the jihadists in Bosnia/Kosovo.

There is too much evidence in Iraq that Saddam used terrorists and had access to WMDs in order to repeat multiple 911s.

Bush was Right.

Whatever your INTENT (feelings) in punishing the party or its nominee, the RESULT (an Obama or Clinton presidency) is wholly unacceptable to those of us who have lived through these kinds of dangerous fools. Either would be worse than a first Clinton presidency or even a Carter presidency. Some might say it would be a return to a Woodrow Wilson presidency, although I personally have no knowledge of how bad THAT was.

You have the power to preserve our nation and its honorable military, or you can throw these away by not doing everything you can to stop the destruction that the Democrats will bring. Yes, it IS that important. Vote, don’t vote, I don’t care. But if you assure the return of the Clintons to the WH or an insufferable, America-hating vacuum, then don’t bellyache to me about how you didn’t have a Republican perfect enough to meet your exacting specifications.

I prefer a deadlocked convention and the selection of a conservative candidate.

JR is right. The best way to do that is to vote for Huckabee, but I’ll simply not advise anyone to vote for any of the liberal Rinos.

I’ve been against all of these yardbirds so long, that I’m not going to deny what I believe in these primaries.

Like Laura, come election day I might pull the lever for whatever will defeat Hillary/Obama.

However, I also like the idea of forming a separate Conservative Republican Party (or Caucus) and requiring a trade-off on the VP slot before anyone gets my support.

There is no evidence that the secularist Saddam had anything to do with 9-11. The WMD claims were proven bogus.

As to supporting the troops, they were also fighting in Kosovo when conservatives publicly (and properly) criticized that war.....so that won't wash. BTW, the candidate who has the most donations from the troops is Ron Paul.

“Right! There is no GOOD choice now. But there is NO WAY I will cast a vote for McCain.”

Yeah.
And the Clinton-Obama presidential team will be grateful to you for the next twenty-four years.

You should, IMO, stand on principle, Laura, rather than support a faux Conservative and a moribund party.

Straight Talk: Thad Cochran, U.S. Senator (Miss) who endorsed Romney, recently said his choice was prompted partly by his fear of how McCain might behave in the Oval Office. "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine," Cochran said about McCain by phone. "He is erratic. He is hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me." (Source: http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2008/01/27/famed_mccain_temper_is_tamed/)

Voting for McCain will destroy what remains of our sovreignty!

I'd sooner be waterboarded than vote for John McCain.

He's right on most things but not on this. Romney is the absolute best on immigration, pro-family, anti-gay rights and the establishment hates him. Please, both of you, join the 77% and do the right thing for America.

I cast my absentee ballot for Romney, but I will pull the lever for any Republican vs. Hillary or Obama. To throw a hissy fit and stay home or waste my vote on a no win third party is not logical.

My vote will count in November.

There is overwhelming evidence that Saddam’s Iraq was intimately involved with terrorists of all sort and that he used them for his purposes. Al Zarqawi was in Iraq pre-war and was studying delivery systems for ricin prior to the war. Al Zarqawi was part of the eclectic Al Qaeda network.

There is overwhelming, irrefutable evidence that Saddam had more than enough extant chemical agent to put small quantities capable of killing thousands at a time in the hands of terrorist delivery systems. There is undeniable evidence that Saddam’s Iraq had yellowcake and pursued further supplies. There is undeniable evidence that Saddam’s Iraq had all chemical and biological RECIPES that could be produced in terrorist delivered quantities in very short order. There is undeniable evidence that Saddam’s Iraq had multiple chemical components to enact those recipes.

Those who do not support that THIS war is necessary do not support the troops.

My son was there. He probably doesn’t support Paul.

I support Paul’s conservative positions except for his isolationist, wrong-headed interpretation of foreign intervention.

Exactly! And there is good reason for the establishment to hate him - he's pro American. We have Mitt and the establishment has McCain, Hillary and Obama.

I will not vote for McCain
Because I am not insane
Where is the gain?
For voting for the vain

If you vote for McCain
You must be insane
You will reap only pain

It could not be more plain
A vote for McCain
Will yield only blame
For all the pain, and
Liberties flushed down the drain.
