The author is nuts. Evangelicals are not going to run into the arms of the abortionists party. Not now, not ever.

I'm a Fundamentalist Christian, something like a close cousin to a Evangelical and there's no way they'll vote for a pro-abort, pro gay rights, anti-gun loving Dem candidate who would probable sell out Israel at the drop of a hat!

Evangelicals may not knowingly vote for a liberal, but the key word here is “knowingly”. Sometimes they just go with the familiar name.
