Probably has the best record in NCAA for kids in his program graduating from college. And heck, what’s a chair or two thrown at the right guy?
Knight’s three national titles are tied for third-most, behind John Wooden’s 10 and Adolph Rupp’s four. Mike Krzyzewski, who played for Knight at Army, also has three titles. Krzyzewski began his college coaching career as a graduate assistant at Indiana under Knight in 1974.
Knight’s five Final Four appearances are tied for sixth all-time.
Chairs everywhere breath a sigh of relief.
I had a teammate in high school who played for Knight and graduated from Indiana. He took all shop classes in high school,a great kid but definitely not college material. Not surprisingly he had no problems with the "help" he got, including Knight browbeating professors into passing him. So I'm sorry, but this nonsense about Knight's great graduation record is complete crock.
