Now if they can just figure out a way to get the terrorist and criminals to comply. It wouldn’t be like they’ll be rushing to be the first ones in line anytime soon.

I have no problem with this if it is kept to the already accepted standards for fingerprints. That is; Military and Government jobs, Police bookings, Alien Immigrants and Critical Professions needing Criminal Background investigations.

I am totally against biometric data encoded on an internal passport such as a universal drivers license.

Well it’s about time. For how long have we all been clamouring for this, and finally our government is delivering on those campaign promises. /S

I understand Japan is doing some version of this.

“Im so frickin sick of where this country is at and where its headed. Its WAY past time for a revolt and take OUR country back.”
I agree with you both 100% and I can confidently state that many FReepers feel the same. We’d be fools to think that we’re not being monitored right now here at FreeRepublic. The final stage is being set i.e., DNA, eye scans, facial scanning, medical records, Real ID cards, etc.
It is sad, really sad, but we must fight this on all fronts, resist in every LEGAL way possible, write letters, teach the younger folks the value of freedom etc. There is still some hope left as long as we are aware of what their intention is.

On this idea, the FBI can go F%CK itself.

Given the lack of brain power in the FBI, it is little wonder they live by the philosophy that a “policeman’s job is easy in a police state”.

I wonder how many of us would fight to the death rather than submit to this...
I’ll bet most of us would just submit because we are afraid

What bothers me most is that the government openly refuses to secure the borders and eject illegals yet they are willing to spend billions to track innocent American citizens. Just look at the “no fly” list after six plus years!

The problem with the internet-linked opposition is that we're all easily disconnected.
For example...what if FR&internet went down right now...?
All 'they' gotta do is pull the plug.
