Yeah, my speedo only goes to 120, and I was way past that. But I know my car has a governor at 140.

And yeah, I’ve taken the Montanabahn in my Chrysler, an oldsmobile rental and a Dodge intrepid rental. My 300 has the “performance” suspension package. It is why the governor is at 140.

The package doesn’t make it a BMW, but with the Dodge and the Oldsmobile, you could feel the difference in the front and rear suspension geometry at the slightest bump while cornering over 100. The Chrysler was VERY tight. It was a LOT of fun.

I have a ticket somewhere from when I was caught doing 100+ on the Montanabahn in my stock 99 Mustang GT. I remember just laughing my arse off when the cop pulled me over ... it was a rush ... but even at that speed, the mountains moved slowly.

The real funny thing is ... I have no idea how fast Mr. Officer was doing to catch me, because I NEVER saw him behind me until he was RIGHT behind me, and where I was caught had about 5 miles visibility every direction.

I had a european spec 82 RX-7 when I was stationed in Germany. Used to love to wind that puppy up on the Autobahn -- it would run 240-260KPH (150 MPH+) like it was glued to the road. That was a definate Rush.

It is humbling though to be going 150 Mph and have a Lambroghini "flash" by you.
