“If he is not God’s choice he won’t win. If he is, there is not one thing anyone can do about it, no matter how hard they try. Can we agree on that?”

Not exactly. It sounds as though you believe that whoever the winner is must have been God’s choice. Put it on a personal level. Is everything you do what God wanted you to do? Do you ever disobey God? If you can disobey God, can’t a nation do the same thing?

If we don’t have the freedom to make moral choices, then why are we held accountable by God for the wrong choices we make?

God obviously allows us a lot of freedom - even to do wrong things, but always within His boundaries. In other words, this thing about God choosing this person or that person is a bit more complicated than simply saying that whoever wins is the one God wanted to win.

The opposite of this is that man will vote and elect who they want, despite God’s will, making God powerless. If you look in the Bible you will see good Kings and bad kings. I stand by that I pray that God blesses us thru Grace with a wise leader and doesn’t give us who we deserve.
