Given the quality of the candidates in both alleged parties, I’d accuse the demopublicans of voter suppression through gross inadequacy of the candidates.

What kind of idiot would vote for any of these dreck?

Today, Huckabee responded: "I know Mr. Romney has been trying to do a little voter suppression by telling people a vote for me is really a vote for John McCain."

To quote "The Princess Bride" -- "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

“Voter suppression!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!”

Sounds like Huckabee has been taking a few pages from Rev. Jessie, Rev. Al, the Klintoons, and AlBore. He’d have wowed them in FLA back in 2000! Since when is a candidate telling people not to vote for another candidate “voter suppression?”

Why Huckabee would have to explain how voter suppression works to the media, is beyond me:’)

Huckabee has turned into a nasty little whiner. He is merely upset because everyone knows he is McCain’s sock puppet.

He has no message at all and spends his time whining to voters.

Go Huck. Romney and McCain are not acceptable candidates. Huck raised taxes (by less than Romney by most measures) . . . and that’s the only nitpick conservatives have with him. Meanwhile Romney is hideous on the social issues as well as economic ones and McCain’s problems are obvious.

Here's how I see it, on the assumption that every true conservative would still like to see Fred back in the race and offered a level playing field in the national election:

Given the premise that Romney and McCain will receive an equal number of votes, one will emerge as the clear majority winner and will receive the nomination on the first ballot and that will be the end of it.

But there is still a chance of changing that outcome if instead of voting for one or the other, everyone who is voting for McCain as an alternate pick because there are no conservatives left to vote for should vote for Huckabee instead. That would practically insure that McCain would not receive a majority.

If you were going to vote for Romney as an alternative because there were no conservative candidates to vote for, a vote for Huckabee would decrease the Romney numbers and reduce the chance that he would have a majority.

Huckabee's numbers would be increased sufficiently for there to be a three-way race, with no clear majority.

That being the case, electors will be free to change there votes for whoever they wanted. On the assumption that most of the electors really wanted a conservative to begin with, such as Thompson or Hunter, they are free to cast their votes for one or the other on the second ballot.

In all the FR polls, Fred was the run-away favorite to win against any other candidates, Republican or Democrat. If that was an indication of a national interest, I would assume that Fred would out-vote Hillary or Obama as well.

How important is it for us to have a conservative president for the next four years? Seems there is much to undo from all the damage that has been done during the last 16 years at least. And it seems most bizarre that we are on the verge of placing the one individual who has done the most damage to our political system into the Oval Office.

Are we really that politcally exhausted that we are going to settle for what the MSM and enemies within have chosen for us to vote for? Lord have mercy on us. Think of all the plans they have that will be placed on the front burner. I won't even begin to list them.

Mike Huckabee accused Mitt Romney of dirty politicking at a morning rally today, suggesting that Romney is telling voters that a vote for Huckabee is a vote against Romney.

Well, duh! What's your point, Huckster?

“a vote for Huckabee is a vote against Romney”

Yes, that’s correct. What’s the problem?

A VOTE FOR HUCKABEE IS A VOTE FOR HUCKABEE!!

Huckabee - reliably pro-life, not recently pro-life.

Huckabee - reliably pro 2nd amendment, not recently 2nd amendment.
He understands that it is for self defense, not just hunting and sports.

He is an ardent, articulate supporter of the Fair Tax, and I believe he really “gets it”. It is the best hope on the horizon for giving power back to the people, and waking people up to the stranglehold the current tax system has on the people and the economy.

If DUNCAN HUNTER believes he can be trusted on border/immigration and WOT issues, I would trust Duncan Hunter’s informed, educated judgment after he spent a year getting to know the candidates, more than I would trust the opinion of any of the haters on here.

Don’t let the people who say he can’t be elected give us another self fulfilling prophecy of having to settle for someone we have to HOPE will do what he says. Right now it’s just name recognition, and when most people get to know Mike Huckabee, they like him.

They were both governors, but those people give Romney a pass for not being able to do what he “really” wanted, because he had a Democrat legislature to work with, when Huckabee was able to work successfully with his Democrat legislature.

Every vote for Mike Huckabee on Tuesday will be one more vote to show the establishment and the media that the election can’t be bought and we don’t have to settle for their opinion of “that’s the best we can get”.

Governor Romney told the truth.

It may be annoying to Governor Huckabee, but it's a fact nonetheless.

A vote for Huckabee is effectively a vote for McCain.

I do not like the man. Mike Huckabee is anti-Catholic and anti-Mormon.

As far as I’m concerned he can be anti-ed off the charts by coming in last tomorrow.

I think McCain is going to let him be in his Cabinet, if he (McCain) wins the election.

Which Dept do you think Huckabee would be offered?

Huckabee tells this lie over and over. He was a way of making digs with no facts to back it up. Just like the promises he makes he knows he can’t and won’t keep!

The reason I went to Romney after Fred dropped out is that I could not vote for Huckabee because he is for amnesty, raising taxes, nanny state mandates, was against the surge, is for closing Guantanamo, and was endorsed by the NEA. Some conservative!

I noticed how Huckabee told lies about Fred, and now he is telling lies about Mitt. Why doesn’t he just tells some TRUTHS about McCAin? Because he agrees with McCain, that’s why! Looks like he is hoping for a job with McCain. I said NO to Huckabee and NO to McCain!

I was happy to give my vote to Mitt Romney! GO MITT!
