Half-dozen shootings. Someone crushed by a float. Mardi Gras is back!

I expected to hear it was some drunken reveller, but that’s not the case.
Wonder if the poor guy had a wife and kids?

So, I guess floats don’t really “float.”

Oh, CJ, that is awful.
I’ve never been on a float, and I doubt I ever will.

In Marksville, LA, another young man was run over and killed by a float. The driver, brother of the dead man, was arrested for DUI and other charges related to driving while drunk.

That's sad. I fear that like high diving boards, parade floats with riders may soon be a thing of the past. Some family's going to sue and win a fortune, and it will all be over.
Enjoy the floats while you can, and prayers for the man and his family.
