“Former Bay State Gov. Mitt Romney, who has cast himself as a Washington outsider and blasted his opponents’ ties to lobbyists, has more than a dozen federally registered lobbyists raising money for him and several others advising his campaign, records show.”

Still repeating the lie, I see. Are you sure you aren't a Democrat? They do the exact same thing you are doing.

Again, the AP reporter accused Romney of having lobbyists running his campaign. That accusation is false. It has been proven false to you again and again and again and again, yet you still stand by it, just like McCain.

Of course he is a Democrat, you can see by the general hyper-allergic reaction of conservatives on this thread:

Let's review, shall we? Here is your post where you offered the claim that "Yesterday, Mitt Romney lost it when an AP reporter challenged him on his statement that he didn't have Washington lobbyists running his campaign.

First of all, Romney did not lose it. If you had bothered to actually watch the video, you would have seen that Romney kept his cool in the face of Glen Johnson's bogus attack. And if you bothered to check on Romney's campaign, you would see that Beth Myers, who is NOT a lobbyist, is running Romney's campaign.

Game, set, match. But then why would a liar like yourself allow truth to get in the way of bashing Mitt?

"Yesterday, Mitt Romney lost it when an AP reporter challenged him on his statement that he didn't have Washington lobbyists running his campaign.

You left off the rest of the quote:

"Yesterday, Mitt Romney lost it when an AP reporter challenged him on his statement that he didn't have Washington lobbyists running his campaign. In fact, he does: Ron Kaufman and Vin Weber."

Tsk, tsk, tsk.

Ron Kaufman and Vin Weber are not running his campaign. Again, if you had bothered to actually watch the video, you would know that (unless you really did watch it, in which case you would be lying . . . again). Besides, Romney never lost his cool.

So which is it, Mojave? Are you a liar? Or are you simply ignorant of what your own evidence actually says?

Romney Criticizes Rivals’ Lobbyists
By GLEN JOHNSON
Thursday, January 17, 2008

Republican Mitt Romney said Thursday he could govern in the country’s best interest because “I don’t have lobbyists running my campaign,” although Washington insiders are on his senior staff and registered lobbyists are top advisers.

One of them, Ron Kaufman, chairman of Washington-based Dutko Worldwide, regularly sits across the aisle from Romney on his campaign plane, participates in debate strategy sessions and just last week accompanied Romney to a lunch in Myrtle Beach with Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C.

Another adviser, former Rep. Vin Weber, R-Minn., is chairman of Romney’s policy committee. He also is chief executive officer of Clark & Weinstock, and his corporate biography says he “provides strategic advice to institutions with matters before the legislative and executive branches of the federal government.”

A third adviser, former Sen. Jim Talent of Missouri, who was at Romney’s victory party in Michigan on Tuesday, is co-chairman of Fleishman-Hillard Government Relations and also is a registered lobbyist, according to federal records compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics.

Repeating the lie only embarasses you. Again, neither Kaufman, Weber, or Talent run his campaign. Get it? Perhaps it’s time for you to go back to posting on DU.

• Kaufman, a senior adviser to Romney, is chairman of Dutko Worldwide, which has lobbied for American Pacific Corp., American Trans Air, Amgen, AT&T – and that’s just some of the As.

• Ben Ginsberg, the campaign’s national counsel, is a partner in the firm Patton Boggs, a large lobbying firm that has represented Kaiser Aluminum, Lucent Technologies, the Venetian Casino Resort and many others. His bio on the firm’s Web site boasts that “Mr. Ginsberg represents a variety of clients on Capitol Hill on a wide range of issues including appropriations, trade, broadcasting and health care.”

• Cardenas is chairman of the Romney Hispanic Steering Committee, a finance co-chairman for the campaign and a frequent spokesman for Romney. He is a partner in Tew Cardenas, a lobbying firm with offices in Washington, Miami and Tallahassee. Records show he has lobbied for Progress Energy, Bell South, the Florida Association of Realtors and the Recreational Fishing Alliance, among others. His Web site boasts that “He has been named as one of Washington, D.C.’s top lobbyists by The Hill newspaper.”

• Comstock, an adviser and frequent spokeswoman for the Romney campaign, is a founding partner of Comstock Corallo, which has lobbied for the Hearst Corp. and the National Association of Broadcasters.

• Vin Weber, the Romney campaign’s policy chairman, is considered one of Washington’s premier lobbyists. He is chief executive of Clark & Weinstock, which has represented Microsoft, Pfizer, Texas Instruments, General Electric and many others.

During the standoff in the Staples, Romney said, “I don’t have lobbyists at my elbows that are arguing for one industry or another industry.”

They may not be at his elbows, but his campaign sure looks ankle-deep in them. And so we find his claim to be False.

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- There was an ice storm in South Carolina this morning, but it was even colder inside a Staples store where a Mitt Romney press conference suddenly went sour. Romney was in the middle of answering a routine question when he said something that caused Associated Press reporter Glen Johnson to lose his temper. “I don’t have lobbyists running my campaign,” Romney said. “I don’t have lobbyists that are tied to my … ” “That’s not true, governor!” Johnson suddenly interjected. “That is not true. Ron Kaufman is a lobbyist.”

So which one of those is his campaign manager? (Hint: none of the above)

Johnson's claim, which you stand by, specifically stated that a lobbyist ran his campaign. This is patently false. Your insistence to repeat the false claim makes you a liar. Get it? Furthermore, your claim that Romney 'lost it' with Johnson is also patently false.

At this point, if you had even a shred of integrity, you would admit your error. But alas, I suspect you do not.

They are YOUR terms. Johnson specifically said "lobbyists running your campaign". Beth Myers runs his campaign. You and Johnson were wrong. Your other term was that Romney 'lost it'. I proved you wrong on that as well.

As I said before, game, set match. Your utter lack of integrity is duly noted. Go back to DU, troll.

I never said campaign manager. The reporter didn't say campaign manager. That's your spin.

None of the ‘lobbyists’ you named run Romney’s campaign. His campaign manager runs his campaign, hence the term ‘campaign manager’. I am sorry if that is beyond your ability to comprehend.
