The problem with that is I believe the MSM really does like Mccain and the Clintons have looked like fools doing only small dirty tricks on Obama. When McCain runs the ads about the Christian guard who untied him its gold while Bills red face and crooked finger will be busy shaking in someones face.

Swiftboat Veterans worked because Kerry was an anti war protester who went to the halls of Congress to disparage his fellow soldiers and it was all on tape. McCain has no such problems.

McCain survived. Nothing he did in the Hilton led to the USA's loss in 'Nam but Kerry and Dems in Congress and the anti war movement, and the media helped us lose. The soldiers won their fights.

McCain will do the few big things like cut spending and make the tax cuts permanent (I hope) he's based his campaign on it. I believe he loves America and I think McCain will cause a major portion of the HIspanic vote to swing Republican.

Most people aren't political junkies like us. McCain/Fiengold is not going to cause many people to not vote for McCain. I had a friend who was an Edwards supporter tell me yesterday he was supporting McCain. Most Dems wont be able to vote for a black Muslim or a complete bitch.

The Clintons wouldn’t touch this with a ten-foot pole.

Twenty foot. Obama either.

Exactly. But they would, in the process, be doing conservatives a favor.

McCain is the left of the “Compassionate” Conservative,

McCain has always impressed me as someone who is one beer short of a six pack, his elevator doesn’t go all the way to the top floor ... type. He graduated fifth from the bottom of his class at Annapolis in 1954. In spite of his low ranking on graduation he was sent on for training as a pilot, a highly sought after billet reserved for graduates with a much higher class standing. Typically someone graduating near the bottom of his class at Annapolis doesn’t get a choice. In any event our intrepid aviator went on to lose five aircraft in one fashion or
form during his Navy years. The fact his father and grandfather were both Navy admirals obviously had a positive influence on his Navy career ... albeit certainly undeserved.

“Are you kidding?

McCain suffered at the hands of the Viet Cong.

He was tortured, and suffers from the after effects.

The one reason that we don’t need to have him as our CIC
is that he is mentally deficient.

Posted as a wife of a Viet Nam vet...”

And???

Okay, so you’re posting as the wife of a Vietnam vet but the language you use suggests that your sentiments are representative of every wife of every Vietnam veteran, former POW or not.

The Dixie Chicks...more like “The Chicksie Dix”.

I wonder if McCain is the senator that Larry Flynt says he will out.

We heard this a while back, but nothing came out.

“Something was not right there.”

There’s a show on the radio called the POW/MIA Hour which I’ve been listening to for years. They do NOT like McCain and have had many shows explaining just how he helped cover up the fact that there are POWs still alive. I don’t know if it’s true or not but they seem to have a lot of very detailed evidence.

“...I hate McCain,...”

That’s a drag, man. That you’d hate a guy like John McCain when all it takes is for you to politely vote for somebody else. But no, there it is in a public forum...In America. So, “samtheman”, are you happy now?

Why should Clinton have to destroy McCain? The Republicans are doing it for them.

“I wonder if McCain is the senator that Larry Flynt says he will out.”

If that’s all you can think of then please, do us all a big favor and don’t vote. Ever!

It's fitting and proper, during our Republican primary, to fight for candidates that better represent our view, and against those who have betrayed our views. McCain has flown in the face of more of our views than I can keep track of.

Whats your problem? There was a thread right here on FR a while back where this threat was going to be used against someone.

Yes, Flynt is sleazy, but he can do damage to a candidate and would do it in a heartbeat.

Did you even read this article? It mentions women.

So save your petty insults for someone else.

It is fitting and proper to take him on based on his positions. It is not fitting and proper to paint him as some sort of psychotic traitor.

If hillary released something like this, the blow-back would destroy her. All she’d have as proof is 40 year old documents written by a communist hack. This won’t happen.

McCain needs to be defeated on his merits, or lack of same, by republicans in the primary.

“I don’t like McCain...I think he is unstable to the point of paranoid insanity”...

Geezuzz...You’d really like that wouldn’t you? To see how some of you folks are thinking...How audacious and ridiculous can it be? However, if I am wrong and you’re right then I am impressed with your incredible powers of observation and knowledge of the human condition. (golf clap...) BRAVO!

McCain suffered at the hands of the Viet Cong.

Incorrect. McCain was a prisoner in Hanoi. The VC were not in charge of the prisoner camps in Hanoi. The NVA, North Vietnamese Army was. The VC were terrorists in the south.
