Breaking news reporter Casey McNerthney has been following the case of Rev. Ken Hutcherson and his controversial crossing with Mount Si High School. Here's his latest report:
January was a big month for Rev. Ken Hutcherson. First, the pastor at Antioch Bible Church made the news for his stock-buying campaign to win influence over gay-friendly Microsoft. Then the gay rights opponent created a stir when administrators at Mount Si High School invited him to speak at an assembly honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The past two weeks have also been big for Mount Si English teacher Kit McCormick -- a big hassle. Since she confronted Hutcherson at the assembly, asking how he can support human rights if he doesn't support gay rights, McCormick said she's been slammed with hate mail and has been the subject of criticism from across the nation.

McCormick said neither Mount Si principal Randy Taylor nor the Snoqualmie Valley Public Schools superintendent disciplined her. But on Thursday, she said some Mount Si teachers received two more e-mails from the public that were especially harsh. "The principal, superintendent, nobody has acknowledged that it's happening to me," she said. All together now: Awwwwwww!
In that McCormick is the advisor of the school's Gay/Straight Alliance "club", she's not exactly an unbiased onlooker, either. Liberals think it's ok to promote sexual ideologies that Christians consider sinful, but not ok for Christians to say "We consider this behavior sinful."

Hutch spoke this morning for a mens breakfast at my church.
He was awesome: “My fear of the Lord is so great that there is no fear left for anything else.”
Praise God!

Pastor Hutcherson knows no fear and will stand up to anyone pushing an immoral agenda.

This outrageous behavior by the teacher would have got you or me arrested for disorderly conduct. Her behavior stopped the Hutch from giving his talk about Martin Luther King to students. She should have been given a leave of absence so she could get a mental evaluation. If she refused, she should have been terminated immediately.

“The administration should not have allowed a biased speaker who is openly against gays at a public school. ... If you are a gay student, you could feel personally attacked.”
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
So...If a person is a Christian who believes homosexuality is a sin, this student feels **threatened**??
Watch out Christians!
Before long you will not be able to get a job, rent an apartment, or live your life because some homosexual twit feels **”threatened**!

I love how Hutch refused to let the reporter define his message as inciteful, reffering to it as “rhetoric”. At one point, when Hutch challenged that definition the reporter stammered out “I’m the one asking the questions here”, to which Hutch responded - “I know, now I asked you one”.

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. If you want on/off this list, please freepmail me. The main Homeschool Ping List by DaveLoneRanger handles the homeschool-specific articles. This is becoming a fairly high volume list.
