It is possible that McCain may have peaked too early. If Romney can get enough delegates on Super Tuesday to stay competitive, the momentum could be taken out of the McCain campaign. He has already gotten the high profile endorsements and their significance will diminish over time.

I agree. It's a hard road but Super Tuesday will not be the end. Romney should not even consider quitting until Huckabee has ended his VP campaign. I was just reading about 1976 when Ford was the presumptive nominee and then Reagan started winning the late primaries and brought it to a convention fight. Obviously Reagan lost the fight (to fight another, and more successful day) but it shows that the biased intelligensia has clearly gone to bat for the most non-GOP standard bearer-in-waiting and so I believe this will be interesting.

The key is Huckabee because since he will surely win less delegates any idea of Romney quitting will be shut off by the fact that Huckabee is still in.
