Re: Candidate Comparison Chart
Why was The Huckster left off the chart? He’s the one hurting Romney.

I don't know if "fight" is the correct word. Maybe "spend" is a better one.
At least Romney won't have to worry about the major source of his campaign cash drying up, unless he's heavily into home mortgages.

"I think one of the dynamics that changed is that conservative Republican and mainstream Republicans, all over the country, in the last 48 hours or so, have concentrated on the prospect of Senator McCain being our nominee and are saying, `That's not the direction we want to go,'" Romney said.It seems that Romney, or his staff, have been reading Free Republic.

After Super Tuesday, the delegate count could easily be McCain 614, Romney 400. With 1100 needed to win, and the anti-McCain surge happening, this is far from over.Music to my ears. So long as Romney stays in the race, hope remains alive. The later primaries favor Romney.

Time to move on.
NAY, NAY. Don't forget; just a few weeks ago everyone was writing the Obituary for Juan "Amnisita" McCain's campaign.

It is possible that McCain may have peaked too early. If Romney can get enough delegates on Super Tuesday to stay competitive, the momentum could be taken out of the McCain campaign. He has already gotten the high profile endorsements and their significance will diminish over time.I agree. It's a hard road but Super Tuesday will not be the end. Romney should not even consider quitting until Huckabee has ended his VP campaign. I was just reading about 1976 when Ford was the presumptive nominee and then Reagan started winning the late primaries and brought it to a convention fight. Obviously Reagan lost the fight (to fight another, and more successful day) but it shows that the biased intelligensia has clearly gone to bat for the most non-GOP standard bearer-in-waiting and so I believe this will be interesting.
The key is Huckabee because since he will surely win less delegates any idea of Romney quitting will be shut off by the fact that Huckabee is still in.

The race is over. See realclear avgs.
Those averages have McCain 12 points ahead of Romney and Hillary 9 points ahead of Obama.
Do you think Obama's supporters are saying it's over? I don't think so. Now, quit wringing your hands and go watch some old Seinfeld re-runs and relax.

Hope is one thing but if he gets the GOP nomination are you still voting R? Nope. I'm not a Republican and so I feel no compunction to support a flip flopping RINO that I can't trust on any important issue. I'll vote third party or write-in. I am a conservative who can't stomach the direction the Republican Party has gone. They're no different than Democrats of 30 or 40 years ago.

Your chart is deficient in several ways.
First, it excudes half the remaining Republicans. (Maybe that's how Hew Hewitt intended it, but FReepers know better.)
Also, it conveniently omits a number of major policy questions that neither "front-running" candidate wants to talk about. I wonder why.
Here is a chart that makes up for those omissions and puts things in proper perspective.

Boy this is really going to tick off the media. They have hit him with everything they have and he just won't go down for them. Mort Kondrake has told him it's time to pack it in and wait till 2012.
I'm hoping he has seen some good news in a few polls. Sending him another donation in the morning. Go Mitt.

Thank God he is willing to stick with it. What big states are up after Super Tuesday? Also, does anyone think Huckabee will still be in the race after Tuesday?TEXAS March 4, my state. I think it's close but Mitt is ahead. And yes Huck will be financed to stay in as long as Romney is by McCain's goons.

Fair enough. I was just curious because in discussion on another thread I was commenting that I had not seen the same level of "I'm not voting for the R" when Romney was the presumed nominee as opposed to McCain.

One more if I may. Do you think any of today's R are still better than any D?

I agree with your sense that Huckabee is in collusion with McAhab.
And McAhab and his cabin boy are owned by Clinton, Inc.

“While Romney has lost major head-to-head contests against McCain in New Hampshire, South Carolina and Florida,”
That’s not true. Huckabee’s big head was stuck in there, too. If it weren’t for Huckabee, Mitt Romney would kick McCain fanny.
McCain had the endorsement of the two liberal Republican senators from Maine. Another reason to dislike the man.
Go, Mitt!!!
To: Kudsman
Do you think any of today's R are still better than any D? Sure, but they're a minority in their own party. Just look at Fred Thompson and Duncan Hunter.

Agreed, but sorry I didn’t clarify. Of Romney, McCain or Huckabee do believe any of them would be better for the country than either Hillary or Obama?
