The wife of Arizona Senator John McCain is recovering at the Mayo Clinic after undergoing a revision to knee replacement surgery. Doctors at Mayo Hospital say Cindy McCain required the surgery because a ligament did not respond to non-surgical treatment. Senator McCain says his wife should be in the hospital for three days and that her recovery should take a few months.

Can someone explain to me what the deal is with McCain’s elbows/forearms? He doesn’t seem to be able to raise them in a comfortable manner.
