Conservatives Fighting Romney

In response to Jason’s post of an anti-McCain YouTube video, I offer this video of Romney, made by the same exact organization that produced the McCain video. Also, I take issue with the statement “This Youtube is making it’s way into activists inboxes all across the nation as we speak.” The anti-McCain video has… brace yourself… 139 views, while this anti-Romney video has 4,796 views. Enjoy.

You really think McCain will fight his good friends Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and Russ Feingold to get you Pro Life Judges?

Given how McCain vote for Federal Funding for Embryonic Stem Cell Research and significantly damaged the Pro Life movement’s ability to influence elections with his CFR bill, how can you claim, with any honesty that he is Pro Life?

McCain maybe was pro life in a few of his votes once upon a time but in the issues he has taken LEADERSHIP in he has been consistently anti Life. After all, that was why he put together the Gang of 14 farce. It guaranteed dozens of solidly Conservative Pro life Judges did NOT get appointed to Federal Courts.

the side by side comparison I saw was in the South Carolina debate, when asked about pharmaceutical re-imports from Canada Romney, “let’s not make the pharmaceutical companies the bad guys. “ McCain: “but they are.” Hugo McCain is more conservative?

He also supported the surge in illegals. It won't make much difference if we win in Iraq if we lose our sovereignty at home. I have confidence the Mitt would listen to his generals on the ground in Iraq, I don't have the same confidence that McCain will listen to the border patrol along our southern border.

“How do you feel about McCain’s boy, David Souter, on the High Court? How did that fit in with your pro-life stance?”

Get your facts straight. Souter was nominated by George H.W. Bush. And he was recommended not by McCain but by Warren Rudma, the senator from new Hampshire and John Sununu, the former governor and Bush’s Chief of Staff (who had put Souter on the New Hampshire Supreme Court. I am sure McCain voted for his confirmation , as did every other Republican Senator including Jesse Helms. The fact that he turned out to be a disaster is in no way McCain’s fault. What is your point??

The “conservative” media has lost a TON of credibility with me due to their embracing of Romney. Passing Romney off as some sort of genuine conservative is laughable at best and an outright lie at worst.

The Mitt Wits can sell me all the crap they want, but I’m not buying.

hmmm, lets see, torture doesn’t work so we shouldn’t use it against our enemies, yet in his own book he claims torture worked on him. We all know its used on our soldiers(if they’re caught, the difference being our soldiers are then killed , so there’s no aclu complaints.) Why is mccain protecting muslims?
Keating 5
Gang of 14
mccain-feingold
illegal immigrants get amnesty

wow. this is a true conservative alright.
Mitt may suck, but mccain sucks even harder. smarten up America, or it will be mexamericanada.

9 months ago the only guy who could beat Hillary was Rudy G. Where is he now?

9 months from now John McCain and the GOP Establishement will be on the losing side of a 40 state landslide because they were so dumb enough to look at polling data 9 months before an election to decide who their canidate should be.

No one could possibly be more unelectable given the current political atmosphere then John McCain.

In ever poll the whole country is giving record low marks to the current political establishement. Never before have we seen such long term dissatisfaction in the electorate for the current political class.

So what do the geniuses in the GOP Establishement do? Find a sick, broke DC old boy Senator who more then half their political base loaths to run as their canidate!

You are going to get such an butt kicking in Nov with this guy. Just like you did with Dole.

“Mitt may suck, but mccain sucks even harder. smarten up America, or it will be mexamericanada.”

The Dems are pushing way too hard for McCain for my liking. Another push by the MSM...they know that conservatives won’t vote for McCain, and then their guy/gal will be in. It’s really a simple technique of propoganda...I’m surprised so many have fallen for it.

“Given how McCain vote for Federal Funding for Embryonic Stem Cell Research and significantly damaged the Pro Life movement’s ability to influence elections with his CFR bill, how can you claim, with any honesty that he is Pro Life?”

Mitt has the same position on stem cells but the issue is effectively moot because the cells can now be obtained without embryo destruction. Mitt Romney supported CFR.

McCain never supported public funding of abortionas Romney did as recently as 2006 with his health care scheme. And McCain never required Catholic hospitals to dispense an abortifacient pill.

McCain is endorsed by Senator Brownback and is also supported by Father Frank Pavone of Priests for Life, who said, “John McCain has a clear and convincing prolife record.”

It is an easy choice for me. Not even close.

McCain would be a terrible president. A McCain presidency would bring massive tax increases, huge government subsidies to illegal aliens, massive carbon taxes to combat global warming, attacks on business and the private sector, an end to interrogation of terrorists, government corruption(the Keating 5), and an agenda controlled by Ted Kennedy and other Democrats.

Do the Party Uber Alles types really believe that electing a guy who agreed more with Ted Kenndy and John Kerry then with George Bush would be good for Conservatives?

Do you really think the McCain, who thought seriously about changing party's in 2001, 2004 and 2006 is seriously committed to a “Pro life” position?

Conservatives absolutely must stop McCain even if it means enduring a Clinton 2 Administration. At least with a Leftist Administration the GOP Establishment would finally realize they must actually advance our agenda rather then be Democrat Lite if they want our votes. Right now the GOP Establishment holds Conservatives in contempt.

They think “We can do anything we want and the sheep will show up and vote for us”. At some point, Conservative are either going to have to make a stand or quit being Conservatives. The time is now. The way to stop it is to make sure McCain is never elected President.

This is what the Party Uber Alles types have got to learn. At some point Conservatives are going to make a stand. Going to have to teach the Republican Establishment that there are lines they cannot cross. Politically Hillary and McCain are virtually the same. They may have minor difference on this issue or that but ideologically they have the same centralizing big Govt mindset.

In 2000 Conservatives were so desperate to control the Congress and the Presidency we grit our teeth and accepted Bush had to move Left. So since we were still getting about 70% of what we wanted we made peace with it.

Now, with McCain, the GOP Establishment are telling us “Hey if we want to win we got to more 35% father Left”. If Conservatives accept that, then in 2010, they will tell us “Hey we got to move 15% father Left to win” and the same in 2012-2014 etc etc etc forever.

The Party Uber Alles types have got to be taught a lesson. The lesson is that we actually want our political agenda advanced. We are not willing to become Democrat Lite just to keep them in office. The time for that stand is now. The person who best represents this leftward drift in the GOP is McCain. He must be defeated either in the primary or in the General Election.

You all are splitting hairs over who is more conservative, McCain or Romney. THERE ARE NO CONSERVATIVES IN THIS RACE!

The Republicans are going to lose this election. The big question will be, will they learn anything from the loss? Or will they just blame it on some group. My guess is they will play the “blame game”. Like liberals, they would never think to look inwardly at themselves to discover the source of their failure.

My bumper sticker for the 2008 election if McCain wins:

Vote McCain: Vote Liberalism
Vote Democrat: Vote Socialism

Semantics; works out the same.
