Romney needs to stay within striking distance. If he does, he can over take McCain over the next 4 to 5 months. Romney needs to be committed to go the distance.

What Romney needs is a lot of people getting off their duffs and do some intensive GOTV campaign in the next few days - the more votes he can get on Super Tuesday, the more he can be seen as a viable challenger able to stop “McCain Doubletalk Express” which is sure to drive the party into oblivion, no matter whether McCain wins (fat chance of that, anyway) or loses the general election.

The opposite would be better if he wanted to defeat McCain. Those who support Huckabee now are the ones who know about how gay marriage came to be in Massachusetts. They may hate McCain but they will not support the gay agenda that Mitt has promised to support. They will never support his defending a woman’s “right” to murder her baby. He has been on the wrong side of both of those issues with little track record to support his words to the contrary.

The truth is that if you want to defeat McCain, Romney has to help Huckabee in the states Mitt runs third in and concentrate his time on the states where he and McCain are close. Divide and conqueror.

He should not waste his time going after votes he will never earn. They will vote third party before they think about voting for the gay agenda loving, abortion provider from Massachusetts.

McCain is wretched; but unfortunately, Romney comes across as a weak, stammering pantywaist every time he opens his mouth. McCain is a pathetic open borders amnesty advocate; but Romney is no leader at all.

Governor Romney is dead, and he knows it. He’s plotting his exit strategy. And that’s okay, because he’s a power-hungry, thin-skinned, vindictive, double-talking fraud:

Rep. Duncan Hunter's endorsement of Huckabee is helping to bring the defense and border conservatives on board:
"I got to know Governor Huckabee well on the campaign trail," said Hunter... "Mike Huckabee is a man of outstanding character and integrity."

Romney is the one that has been attacking Huckabee when he said that “it is a two man race now”. How much more of an attack could he make than arrogantly discounting a man that is involved in the process of democracy. Plus Romney has been saying that “a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain” which is yet another attack on the process of democracy. So now we see Huckabee fighting back, as he should.

I will tell you all the real reason that Romney is attacking Huckabee like this... it is because Romney is desperately afraid that Huckabee might get more delegates than him on Super Tuesday and that would not only seal Romney’s fate but be totally embarrassing to his ego and the money he spent from his personal fortune on top of it- OUCH!

Meanwhile McCain has said nice things about Huckabee which gives Huckabee his preference to campaign positive.

For Governor Romney, an unconventional strategy would be caring about something besides his political career:

My opinion is that McCains’ victories are due to voter manipulation (fraud) or liberals have crossed over to vote for him. They have no preference between Hillary or Obama. One way or other they are determined to have their man/woman win..be that Hillary, Obama or McCain. They can’t lose.

Huckabee needs to bow out. Our country is in a crisis and we need someone with business sense who won’t run us further in debt. Romney believes he can change the economy. I believe his run is driven by ego, but also to make his wife, five sons and Church proud. He may also want to live up to his father’s image. Regardless of the reasons I think “whatever it is” that is motivating him will result in a better outcome than any other choice we have now.

The Huckabee voters are not the conservatives Mitt has been going after.

The ONLY thing about Huck's voters that's conservative is their Christianity - and that's very bad news for Mitt.

If McCain comes out ahead after Tuesday, it is over. He will be annointed by the MSM.

The ignorant Republican sheeple and opportunistic Republican politicians will all be on board. Anything to do with Conservatives will be finished.

Romney must win for conservatives to have a say in the process.

I think generally this is why the MSM is desperate to push mccain.

McCain probably can’t survive after tuesday because he has near limits of public campaign money.

Huckabee is a waste of vote energy since his campaign is shut down without money.

If McCain is shut down with a less than plurality then the effete elites will not be able to “kick out” the conservatives.

“Romney needs an unconventional strategy.”

My suggestions would include...

1. Be authentic, for a change - BE SOMETHING
2. Have some convictions - you are 60, after all
3. This isn’t a just a job interview or a mud fight - people have to view you as both likable and trustworthy.

You cannot overcome these issues by simply making media buys.

I have been a member of the Republican party since 1976 it is a sad day when a democrat can clean himself up and dress like a Republican and fool the uninformed. I am a member of the conservative base and I can tell you right now I see no difference in McCain, Clinton or Obama and I refuse to try and choose the lesser of the evils. I will vote but if these are my only choices then my only option is a write in and right now that would appear to be for Romney.
