Conservative, conservative, conservative. That was the word Mike Huckabee used again and again with reporters to emphasize his credibility as a contender for the Republican nomination...
“There has been somewhat of - almost a national media spin that this race is a two-man race,” said Huckabee... “Last night, the CNN debate was very frustrating for me. There seemed to be an unequal level of time that was allocated, and if people look at the delegate count, one has to have 1,191 delegates in order to be the nominee. So far, no one has even broken a hundred; there’s only 8% of the delegates that have yet been tabulated ..."
Continuing, Huckabee questioned Romney’s quest to claim the conservative mantle: “If people are looking for a true conservative, somebody who hasn’t had a recent change of opinion to become one, I would be the logical choice ..."
Although he would have “loved” to have Arnold Schwarzenegger’s endorsement, Huckabee seemed to undermine it by challenging the California governor’s conservative credentials, and implicitly, McCain’s.
“I would never have expected the governor of California to endorse me and, frankly, I’m probably a lot more conservative on a lot more issues than he would have been comfortable with – whether it’s the Second Amendment, or pro-life issue, or marriage amendment issue or any number of things.”
Huckabee later said that receiving former Republican candidate Duncan Hunter’s endorsement last week probably meant more in the conservative hotbed of San Diego than Schwarzenegger’s endorsement of McCain.

Romney is the only one who has successfully managed a business. Romney is the only one who is consistantly attacked by the MSM. Huckabee and McCain have a zero percent chance of being a good president. Romney for all his faults has maybe a 30% chance of being a good president.
The truth? oh pahlease.
Huck and truth do not belong in the same sentence.

Well, Duncan Hunter doesn’t show me much by this. Is Duncan anti-Mormon, too? I just don’t see why he wouldn’t be backing Romney, who is pro-life and a GOOD MAN. I’m skeptical about that Huckabee, because of his flip-flops on the issues.

He was defeated by his own hubris.
If WE really had an impact, a REAL impact then Hunter or Thompson would have been far more than a fizzel.
Hunter did not even break 2000 votes in the SC and Mich primaries combined.
From day 1 this election has been about vote splitting. Not getting the majority but about splitting off by distraction enough of your opponents potential votes in order to win a plurality.
Split the libertarians with kook paul.
Split the evangelicals with huckster.
even split the conservatives with Thompson.
Now when this is in fact a two man race, the only reason for Huckabee to stay in is for personal power. He is pulling a jesse jackson.
I find it amusing that you jump to conclusion without proper investigation...but then that might be why you support Huck.

We all know that the MSM likes whoever is most liberal. Their lack of attacks on both McCain and Huckabee show that they:
1. Know that Romney is the most conservative.
2. Romney has the best chance of receiving the majority of votes from the conservative base, and therefor the best chance of winning against either Hillary or Obama.
And a phony and a disgrace to the human race.

But this isn’t the time to stop fighting. Every inch counts. Every delegate counts. Most of Governor Huckabee’s delegates are extremely conservative, fiscally AND socially. Let’s get as many of them as possible to the convention.
Maybe we could have done more.
Both were Governors, both allowed abortion clinics to run in their states, even though all three were personally opposed abortion. (How many kids dos Romney have? Five? Six? How many did his wife abort?)
So I guess your voting for Romney? You support him too? Correct?
Do we want to force talk show hosts to endorse a candidate?- that’s stupid. If you listen enough to their shows, you will know which candidates they favor, and with their discussion on the candidates and your own research into these candidates, anyone should be able to make up their minds who to vote for. Why do you want to bully talk show hosts in that way? I got so tired of people complaining this season about hosts not endorsing Thompson. (Even though I was planning on voting for Thompson.)
My recollection of Reagan speaking was that he relied on valid abstractions about freedom, free markets, and the totalitarian nature of communism. Of course, he had to interact with individuals. But even his jibes related to policy. He was never so personal as what I’ve heard, and just read, from Huckabee. Maybe President Huckabee will slime Muslim supremacists into renouncing terrorism. Maybe his energy policy will be to hammer our greedy oil industry while closing off more supplies. Supply and demand is pretty abstract and beyond some Republicans and most Democrats. I bet Huckabee will be very effective in inveighing against greed. I wonder where his "Jesus juice" will lead him next.

You’ve been brain-Rushed. Most liberal journalists are spinning this as a two-way race between Senator McCain and Governor Romney. Chris Matthews has been absolutely fawning over Governor Romney while engaging in a virtual blackout of Governor Huckabee.
Rasmussen’s national numbers for today show Senator McCain at 30 percent, Governor Romney at 28 percent, and Governor Huckabee at 21 percent. Some Super Tuesday forecasts show Governor Huckabee and Governor Romney coming out with 200-250 delegates apiece. Now compare those realities to CNN’s allocation of attention during the Reagan Library debate.
Liberal journalists with brains can see that a McCain-Romney final is a no-lose situation for the Democrat nominee.

Rush at least has a very good logic to his not endorsing. He is loyal to being conservative. IOW he encourages cream to rise to the top and pushes the waste to the bottom.
Hence why he can expose mccain. But that is he PERSONAL choice on his PERSONAL show. He is only one person.
We have no outlet on TV. NONE.
There is no hard news outlet. We have been left to surfing the three big news stations to sift whatever we can read between the coverate and question why something is NOT being covered (see thompson)

Don't look now, but Rush gets paid to express opinions. The truth is he was afraid to endorse a candidate because he's a Rudy lover and he knew how that would go over. I'm disgusted with Rush.

I won’t be surprised if people start taking a second look at Huckabee. I think more and more people are beginning to realize that the so-called conservative leaders are tryin to sell us snake oil in the form of Romney and McCain.
The MSM has consistantly praised McCain as a maverick and a man of integrity. Many stories say he is the only chance the Republicans have to win.
The NYT and other publications have done many positive pieces on Huckabee.
All the profiles of Romney by the MSM have benn negative.
