Indeed...I'm delighted that their reading of the world economy is such that they feel confident in a project like this being a lucrative one.
Unfortunately, it's also a terribly tempting terrorist target.....they love to blow up stuff that muslim countries could never come up with or even dream of on their own (which is most things, come to think of it). Hopefully there will be appropriate safeguards.
As for safeguards, the standard practice for rigid airships is to have not one, but several (many) gas bags to hold the lifting gas. They’d be using something nonflammable — most likely helium. In the event of a small explosion on board, (something that could take down a jet airliner) there would still be the possibility of landing without a crash.
