Focus on the Family founder James Dobson has dealt a potentially devastating blow to Fred Thompson’s presidential aspirations, saying the former senator is not a Christian.

“Everyone knows he’s conservative and has come out strongly for the things that the pro-family movement stands for,” Dobson – considered the most politically powerful evangelical figure in the U.S. – said in a phone call to Dan Gilgoff, senior editor at U.S. News & World Report.

“[But] I don’t think he’s a Christian. At least that’s my impression.”

Thompson’s spokesman Mark Corallo took issue with the statement.

“Thompson is indeed a Christian,” he said. “He was baptized into the Church of Christ.”

Mitt Romney met with a scientist to become educated and more informed about embryonic stem cell research. It was a defining moment for Romney when the scientist said, "Then we kill the embryo."

Mitt changed his views at that moment.

Dr. Dobson: I Will Never Vote for McCain. . .

I cannot bear McCain; but should the option be; our Military with McCain as Commander-in-Chief or Hillary; I think we owe our Military.

It may come a 'past time' moment to get beyond our idiological entrenchments and we must simply 'Support the Troops'; even if we must hold our noses.

Our Military - have, in many situations held their 'collective nose' for America; not to mention the 'lives sacrificed' on our behalf.

Can we just see a bigger picture here; rather than the one framed by our idiological inclinations; no matter how 'right' they are.

'Support our Troops' - and Repubs need to be prepared to do just that. . .so far, they seem to be a forgotten equasion.

btw, today I called Dr. Richard Land’s radio show to say that not only did Senator McCain support human embryonic stem cell research, but according to the late Congressman Henry Hyde, John McCain wanted to WEAKEN the pro-life plank of the Republican Party platform, so he is different behind the scenes, than the picture he tries to portray to us.

Huckabee - reliably pro-life, not recently pro-life.

Huckabee - reliably pro 2nd amendment, not recently 2nd amendment.
He understands that it is for self defense, not just hunting and sports.

He is an ardent, articulate supporter of the Fair Tax, and I believe he really “gets it”. It is the best hope on the horizon for giving power back to the people, and waking people up to the stranglehold the current tax system has on the people and the economy.

If Duncan Hunter believes he can be trusted on border/immigration and WOT issues, I would trust Duncan Hunter’s informed, educated judgment after he spent a year getting to know the candidates, than I would trust the opinion of any of the haters on here.

Don’t let the people who say he can’t be elected give us another self fulfilling prophecy of having to settle for someone we have to HOPE will do what he says. Right now it’s just name recognition, and when most people get to know Mike Huckabee, they like him.

They were both governors, but the Romney supporters give Romney a pass for not being able to do what he “really” wanted, because he had a Democrat legislature to work with, when Huckabee was able to work successfully with his Democrat legislature.

Every vote for Mike Huckabee on Tuesday will be one more vote to show the establishment and the media that the election can’t be bought and we don’t have to settle for their opinion of “that’s the best we can get”.
