And the Cubans, blame John F Kennedy for that law!!!
A write in candidate... won’t stop McCain.
So you are a spammer on this thread.
Sarcasm
laugh
I am open for suggestions, I myself don’t see the answer. I will write in the closest GOP candidate if I do not find a solution. Hopefully on tuesday Romney will grab a lead in the primary, not my first choise but is there another?
“As bad as McCain is. . .Hillary is worse. Her long-term vision/agenda cannot possibly be outmatched by that of McCains.”
What the “vote Hillary instead” crowd (and I believe it’s peaking now to give people a wake-up call that their Super Tueday vote has consequences more than an actual endorsement of Hillary) is point out is - yes, of course Hillary will be worse in a general sense. But she’s a democrat - we can BLAME her. What will we do if it’s a Republican president responsible?
It’s a bit of a moot point - I believe Hillary or Obama would both be able to crush McCain in a debate. If McCain is the nominee we’re screwed - the dems will win. But on the off-chance he could win, the damage he would inflict on the conservative agenda is only slightly less severe than what Giuliani would have inflicted. At least, under a democrat presidency, we could rally ourselves in opposition like we did under Clinton. An enemy in the White House gave us a voice - made us powerful - brought OUR objectives back to the forefront. Clinton acted on OUR ideas, the Contract with America, NOT the other way around.
Sometimes, from a strategic point of view, a loss can lead to a greater victory elsewhere. You can see that in how candidates on both sides are choosing to run their primary battles.
That said - I believe this “I will vote for Hillary” business is a ruse to get people to vote against McCain on Tuesday. If it fails, and McCain does win, then there will have to be some soulsearching as to what actually comes next.
Normal people aren't this singularly focused. They have other interests. They talk about other things.
Someone's trying to create the illusion that McCain has support here. Of course, it's a lie. Here's where John McCain rates among Freepers:
Free Republic Opinion Poll: Who do you support in the GOP presidential primaries?
Even the minority who will reluctantly support him against Hillary in the general know he's a snake. And that 38% minority is right now, when he's running as far to the right as he possibly can (while his opponent is running as far left as she can). Wait until he starts wooing the independents in the general.
McCain is persona non grata with conservatives, for a few dozen really good reasons. No amount of slick TV ads or spamming operatives can cover for his eight-years of treachery and "post-partisan" acquiescence to leftists. He's a nasty SOB with a horrific track record, and he is, for the most part, loathed here. And this is pretty sleazy way of trying to distort that reality.
Then again... this is John McCain we're talking out.
it wasnt jfk because it was enacted after i turned 18 it was carter
But remember, Ann makes some very good points. Sometimes it's better to scrap a plan, rather than fix it. After scrapping it, you can start a fresh, clean and new plan.
Whoever deployed you, tell them your spam might play better in an AOL chat room. You’re out of your depth here.
40 million didnt stop him one write in wont LOL
remember ann makes her living doing what?
oh lord
"TALKING POINTS ON THE CUBAN ADJUSTMENT ACT"
That said; think McCain could win over Hillary or Obama, by any stretch. Not accounting for Clinton,Inc. fraud, that is.
As Liberal as his inclinations fall; do not think McCain is a fool for Muslim's as /are the genuine 'Left'. Nor is he a 'radical-revolutionary voice' or a Soros pawn.
That alone, might be his. ..and our's. . .saving Grace.
This is all so depressing; but the 'Right' have acted like spoiled brats, IMHO; and we are paying the price. It will not doubt get higher; but given the stakes; we can only work to insure America does not lose it all.
That's my fault, and wasn't intentional. While I was composing this post, I had a spybot virus, that I later cleaned. I didn't catch the typo with "spell check".
Sorry y'all.
That McCain loses the edge here. . .making him the 'better option' says little; but it may make a better diference in a 'four-year' view.
Rewarding not only criminals; but self-serving treasonous criminals with a return to where they can commit again; their biggest crimes against America, is just not an option in my book.
She did say that if McCain was the candidate she would go for Hillary. But what if McCain was not the candidate? Then she would have to eat her words.
This has got to be a wacky year. Ann Coulter saying good things about Hillary. And Snoop Doggy Dogg on Larry King.
