You know Paul Newman may be a big time lib, but this is a great gesture on his part! Bravo!
Yancy
Not just a good cause, but good products. Buying his pasta sauce or salad dressing is, believe me, no sacrifice. Not to mention that Newman is half of one of the great romances in Hollywood history. He and Joanne Woodward will celebrate their 50th anniversary this year.
Newman announced a few months ago that he is retiring from acting. His most recent film, Cars (he was the voice of the old race car/judge) will be his last. It was a good performance, but at 83 he has to try hard to be good when it used to be effortless to be great. I can’t blame him for taking his bow now.
Yeah, he had lefty politics 40 years ago. But he’s a great actor and a good man who’s channeled his fame into some $200 million for good works. I dare you to find something wrong with that.
