Not a chance....WWII vet, greatest generation, etc.

They ALWAYS vote.

And they ALWAYS vote Defense conservative....whether it’s LBJ, Nixon, Reagan, or Bush.

It’s ALWAYS Defense conservative. I guarantee that if the Dems were to run some 4-Star general, they would vote the best Defense Conservative.

About your defense voting conservative family, it is looking like we have been focusing on individual issues such as defense, social issues, financial and gun rights, but we have lost track of the first consideration which is the Constitution.

The Constitution says that the states have the power- not Washington. What has happened? Look back to what the Founding Fathers have said and you have to admit that the government we have today is the Founding Fathers’ worst nightmare. I think we have to get back to the federalist vision which put power in the states and not Washington.

If you look at many of the problems that plague us, you can trace it back to an all powerful federal government which has been growing since the Roosevelt administration in the nineteen thirties! The liberals take three steps forward and the conservatives take one step back. With each administration, Washington gets bigger and bigger.

The liberals always aim for the top ...Washington. If power were not so concentrated in Washington, it would make it much more difficult for the liberals to complete their agenda.

I think we all have to get to our libraries and start learning more about the Constitution and the founding of our country. When we do this, we will realize that we are very far from what our country was supposed to be. When conservatives start to focus on dis-empowering Washington and re-empowering the states, then we will see many of the toxic liberal policies fall by the wayside.

Look at all the things Washington has been enpowering for seventy years: one entitlement program after another, huge government housing programs, welfare programs that subsidize family break up and illegitimacy, federal government interference in our local school systems, big government looking over your shoulder on the job, massive debt and taxes, taxes taxes.

We have to work for all the conservative issues but we also need to start redesigning government at the local and state levels. In order to do this, we have to stop accepting pork from Washington which is what keeps our money going to Washington. I think we cannot cut federal taxes until we refuse the pork, all the unnecessary spending; the bicycle paths, the needless museums, money for local schools, the bridges to nowhere. Taxation starts with bribes. They bribe us with all of these pork barrel projects then they send us the bill on April 15th.

When people at the local levels realize that we don’t need all that money from Washington, then we will start sending people to Washington who are fiscally conservative, people who will represent the interests of their states, not the interests of Washington.

When we stop accepting the pork from Washington much of the power of the liberals will fall away.
