My Freeper name is from the sound lightning makes in the BC comic strip. I first used it many years ago as the name of my character when my family was playing Dungeons and Dragons (Zot, the lawful-good magic-user). When I signed up for FR, I was surprised to find that it wasn’t already in use and it worked when I registered. Later, it became the sound of FR Moderators’ lightning striking a troll.
