GLENN: Michelle Malkin, I've got 30 seconds. If it's John McCain, Hillary Clinton, do you pull the lever for John McCain?
MALKIN: Not at this moment I don't. I'm running a poll right now on my site and you can see that there are a majority of my own readers who are going to sit home. And I think it's a big warning to the conservative movement out there. We still have time to fix this.

“...not if they want to get reelected... bad policy is bad policy”
That’s a joke, right? How many times has McCain, the king of bad policy, been reelected? And he’s the Pubbie frontrunner for President. The electorate rewards bad policy these days. The Congresscritters in safe districts (and thanks to McCain-Feingold that’s more than ever) will be only too happy to get their liberal policies signed by a President with an “R” behind his name. And McCain will be equally happy to oblige.
No way I contribute to that!
I dunno about that. I don't see McCain as any more liberal than GHWB or Ford, and the party lasted through those two.
Contrary to what his mommy thinks, I will not hold my nose and vote for McCain.
As Michael Steele pointed out last night, McCain is the Republican candidate who the Democrats most fear. He might not be popular on the FR but the FR is not an accurate cross-section of the voting population of the US.
I still in favor of a brokered convention. Let's take our chances on a new selection process. As conservatives, we have nothing to lose. Almost anyone is better than the four clowns still standing.
I have a new term for McCain, he’s not a Republican and he’s not a Democrat, he’s a Media-crat. He represents the media in every position except abortion, and he only votes against abortion because it’s the only thing that keeps him in the Republican party.
I am a little torn also, but I see it like this. Ice cream is served. The choice of flavors is onion or liver. One of these flavors WILL be served, and you will be required to eat it. If you fail to choose, the choice will be made for you and you WILL partake. Of course, you may ask for strawberry or vanilla, but these flavors will not be served. I will reluctantly choose onion ice cream, in hopes of not having to eat the liver.
Good analogy. She’s a disease our country’s immune system knows how to handle. McCain on the other hand is like HIV or Alzheimer’s. It will surely destroy us.
Me either!!
But onion flavored ice cream won’t get the ice cream eaters to unite and demand a better flavor. But liver ice cream will unite the ice cream eaters to never eat liver again (well at least for 8 years).
“A vote for McCain is a vote to destroy America.”
McCain’s policies are the same as the libs’ policies. If we are going to go down the path of destruction for the next 4/8 years, I’d rather have it happen at the hand of the Dems. Although I worry about the packing of the courts under a Dem, I can’t trust McCain on this issue either.
We may have to experience a Carter-like season during our nation’s well being is measured on a “misery” index before we have a 1980-like revolution.
A RINO like McCain in the WH is a nightmare for true conservatives in the House and Senate. Better to have a Dem in office and let the conservatives work to thward him/her rather than fight against a president of their own party.
What a mess.
The point was already made in '06 and obviously you and the GOP didn't get the point.
What is not only stupid, but totally insane is for conservatives to keep voting for rino's just because moderates whine! It's because conservatives keep voting for the liberal, no - good republicans that we find ourselves in this mess. Conservatives blew it, and here's the lesson, and you better believe it's going to rain down on the GOP's head this election from the conservative base:
GIVE US CONSERVATIVES TO VOTE FOR BECAUSE WE REFUSE TO VOTE FOR RINO'S ANY LONGER!
I disagree. It seems lately that two presidents are the norm, not the exception. If the dems learned anything from 1994 and 2000, is that once you gain power, you better hold on to it.
I don't want either of them in my living room for the next 4 years, or leading our nation.
It will be a quiet 4 years in the mombonn house if either prevails.
I can--neocon elitist, having successfully disenfranchised the republican voter--
bttt
Yes, and its the same trend that kept Congress under Democratic control for decades.
All these people who want to support McCain remind of cuckolds who will stand behind their party choice no matter how much he flaunts his love affair with the left.
And many of these people castigated Hillary for sticking with Bill for political purposes.
LOL, McCamnesty lovers have battered wife syndrome.
